I am a solo traveler- although would be traveling with two other people in my party. It says that the room booking requires two people. Do you offer a single room and if so, what would that cost be? I do not want to share a room with someone who I do not know.

We are looking at 2 separate trips because my kids have different vacation times. 1. First trip is for my son who is 15 and me (adult woman)--start around 3/5. 2. 2nd trip is for 14, 9 and adult man (dad) --start around 3/19. We have 14 days so have more time but some of us get a bit sea sick so don't want to be staying on boat/cruise entire trip. However, we also don't want to miss some of the remote islands. Can this trip be extended out by 1-2 days to go to more remote islands?

Yes we can add to this program more Islands in terms to see as much as possible. On top of the itinerary we can add Española Island (1 more night in cristobal). Plazas Island (1 more night in Santa Cruz). North Seymour Island (1 more night on Santa Cruz). With this you will see a lot more of the Galapagos. So the additional per person for 3 extra nights (hotel and tours included) usd 1250.

Is it safe to travel to the Galapagos as a solo, female traveler? Could you please tell me the main difference between each tour? What would be the cost for one additional night post tour in Quito?

The outdoors we can operate with even 1 person (adding single supplement) and Galapagos Big 5 we need 3 + people.

Are the flights to and from quito included in the tour? If it isn't can you please let us know if you can book it and give us the cost estimate? Are there meal options easily available because we can see that on certain days dinner is not included

Flights in/out Galapagos are not included, price per person for december usd 550. You sleep at the islands, so easily you can find places to eat. December is high season and availability is getting difficult, so I recommend you decide it shortly.

Could you please let me know if you use a particular airline for the flight included in the tour? Lastly I was wondering if you could tell me the general age ranges of the travellers that have book on these dates: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30th of December?

I gave this 4 stars because the entire Galapagos experience is so amazing. However, this tour is misrepresented as one of the other reviewers noted. Our 9-day tour was presented to us as "Fully Guided - An experienced guide will be with you for the entire trip." It also states that you will join this small group "and forge lifelong friendships." My husband and I had just finished a fully-guided small group tour (with a different tour company) through Ecuador mainland and we truly did have a guide with us 24/7 and we had a small group of 16 people that we traveled with for 8 days. This is NOT that type of tour. My husband & I were the only 2 on this 'tour' - which really isn't a tour but rather a guide in each island is responsible for explaining to you what to expect for those 1-2 days and may help you get to those tours/ferries/etc for which the operator made the reservations for. Some guides were excellent and helped us navigate airports, ferry lines, and tour boats. Others we saw 5-10 minutes upon arrival at the island and were told to ask the hotel lobby staff if we had any questions during our stay. Others sent a taxi driver - whom typically didn't speak English. This is definitely not a fully guided tour. You spend a lot of time on your own - which worked OK for us but certainly not what we expected.Show more

This trip is mis-sold. It is sold as a group tour and clearly says "Join a Group and forge lifelong friendships". It also says "An fully experienced guide will be with you for the entire tour". Neither of these things are true. I ended up being totally on my own for the entire trip, not with a group at all. There were guides on each of the islands that met me and showed me to my hotel but they are not with you the whole trip. It is a series of different guides and taxi drivers etc. However - If I had booked it to be a solo trip then it would have been great. The itinerary was fab and the day trips were really well organised and I saw some incredible things. I would highly recommend this trip if that was what had been sold to me without the misguided information.Show more

We understand it could be frustrating of flight cancelations, honestly is the first time in Galapagos that a flight is cancelled, so even Avianca was lost in giving solutions to us as operator and to you as a client. We got the issue when you contacted us , immediate our team contacted Avianca and it supposed to be a delay as they said . Off course situations like this are out of our control since that airline manage flights and Galapagos is control by 2 airlines. We tried to find other flight or other option but nothing besides of what Avianca promised for next day. We know that it took even longer than expected to fly back to Quito and it cost an extra expense in your international fly home but we always were in communication with you. Our Tour Guide Alex & Jose were knowledgeable. They would even help us with recommendations to buy souvenirs , and food to try. Lunch and dinner mentioned in the itinerary were high end restaurants selected with wide spread of authentic food. Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 30th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 30th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with GUIDEcuador Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and GUIDEcuador Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "GUIDEcuador Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of GUIDEcuador Travel. Please familiarize yourself with the GUIDEcuador Travel payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
