Itinerary
- Day 1
Robben Island
You'll head to the V&A Waterfront early and board a ferry heading out to Robben Island. Once you arrive, a guided bus tour takes you around the island with a former political prisoner as your guide, which gives the whole experience real context. The tour includes visiting the cell where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years imprisoned. It's a sobering and meaningful way to understand South African history firsthand.

- Day 3
Mossel Bay
After leaving your hotel, you'll travel to Mossel Bay for a 2-hour 4x4 safari, which is one of the big draws along the Garden Route. You'll get to see wildlife and landscape from the vehicle as you navigate the terrain. Later in the afternoon, you head back to Cape Town, so plan for a decent amount of driving time on either end.

Landmarks Mossel Bay - Day 4
Knysna and Plettenberg Bay
Starting out, you'll visit Cango Caves and then traverse Swartberg Pass, which offers great views of the surrounding area. Around midday, lunch happens at Kobus se Gat, a local spot. After that, you explore Knysna Heads and the Waterfront. There's an optional stop at Elephant Park if you want to fit it in. By evening you'll settle into your overnight accommodation in Knysna and have dinner there.

Oudtshoorn
You'll travel to Oudtshoorn, a charming town in the Klein Karoo region known for its ostrich farming. During your time there, you'll do some wine tasting at Robertson and visit an ostrich farm to see how the operation works. Dinner happens in Oudtshoorn, and you'll stay overnight in the town.

Jeffrey's Bay to Addo to Sedgefield
Your morning has two options to choose from. You can sleep in and spend time exploring the town's surf factory shops and local spots, or take a surf lesson at one of the world's most famous surf breaks if you're keen to get in the water. Alternatively, you could wake early for a game drive at Addo Elephant National Park, where you'll have chances to spot the Big 5 and see an incredible concentration of African elephants. You'll be back in Sedgefield for the night, with a possible visit to Knysna Heads if time works out.
