Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
Head out from Kathmandu early for a 6-hour drive to Pokhara. The route takes you through Nepal's main highway, passing through farm villages and small towns where you'll start seeing snowcapped peaks in the distance. By the time you arrive at Pokhara, you'll be staying near Phewa Lake, which gives you a chance to settle in and prepare for the trek ahead.

Landmarks Phewa Lake - Day 2
Pokhara to Ulleri
After breakfast, drive for about 2 hours through the mid-hills toward Nayapul, with the Annapurna range and Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish Tail) visible along the way. Once you reach Nayapul, the actual trekking starts on the historic Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route. You'll walk through farmlands and pass small villages like Bhirethati and Hille before reaching Ulleri village at 1,960m where you'll spend your first night in a lodge.

Landmarks Mt. Machhapuchare Annapurna Mountain Range - Day 3
Ulleri to Ghorepani
Start the day with a steep stone-stepped climb through Ulleri village for roughly 2 hours, and you'll see Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchare from here. The path then becomes easier and winds through cool alpine forest full of rhododendron trees as you continue upward. You'll reach Ghorepani village at 2,840m by evening, where the views of Mt. Dhaulagiri range open up nicely.

- Day 4
Ghorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill
Get up early and hike to Poon Hill at 3,210m to catch the sunrise, where you'll see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, the Annapurna range, and even Ganesh Himal stretching across the horizon. After taking in the views, trek back down and continue on a scenic trail through woodland toward Tadapani at 2,630m. This village also sits at a high point with views of Annapurna South, Huinchuli, Fish Tail, and Annapurna II and IV.

- Day 5
Tadapani to Kyumi to Pokhara
Catch another sunrise over the mountains, then trek downhill toward the road head at Kyumi village while enjoying final views from the trek. From Kyumi, take a 3-hour drive back to Pokhara, which wraps up the main trekking portion of your trip.

- Day 6
Pokhara to Kathmandu
Have breakfast in Pokhara before starting your journey back to Kathmandu. You'll have two options: either travel overland by tourist bus or take a 30-minute flight. The bus option brings you back through the same mid-hills and main highway you came in on during Day 1.
