  My partner and I did the 7 day Rongai route in the off season. Amosi was great. They were organized, friendly, professional and responded quickly to requests and emails. The guides Baraka and Ally were awesome. They matched our pace since we were a little faster than average and even allowed us to skip a day by doing two climbs in one day for a shorter route. They organized and managed to porters really well to make it all happen but most importantly all the porters and staff got along and seemed genuinely happy. Since we changed the schedule Joseph did an awesome job communicative with Amosi to get our rides back to the hotel set up and we really didn’t have to do anything. Important to know: There are A Lot of porters/staff! We had 14 people for us two climbers. We were quite astonished since we are used to carrying our own stuff and hiking/climbing with only one guide per two climbers with no extra “staff”. While this seems to be the norm for Kilimanjaro it’s a bit odd if you are used to doing typical self supported climbing with a guide who serves only as a guide. We decided, “When in Rome” though. Overall a really fun experience.Show more

  I completed the 7-day Rongai route with Migration Venture Africa. My guide was Joseph and he was incredible! He has 10 years of experience and it was evident, from his knowledgeable descriptions of the plants along the route to his care on summit day. I am very happy I went with Migration Venture Africa—communication was easy, the vibes were always positive amongst the team, and the standard of service was excellent.Show more

  Joseph was an amazing guide and did a fantastic job organising everything from start to finish. He was friendly and fun, good to chat to and knowledgeable about all aspects of the hike. When I was struggling and cold he was able to quickly identify exactly what I needed in order to be able to continue. In unusual extreme weather conditions he remained calm and practical, problem solving and modifying the plan as required. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone considering a kili climb.Show more

  Highly recommended All our experience with Migration Venture Africa was excellent. I was with a group of 5 who climbed Kilimanjaro (Rongai route), did a day safari to Arusha National Park, and did the Waterfall/Coffee planation tour. Amos was very responsive leading up o the experiences, patiently answering all of our questions. We were scheduled to for 2021but moved it to 2022 because of the pandemic. They did an excellent job of facilitating this with no extra expenses. For the climb, the guides, cook, and porters were all excellent - exceeding our expectations. The food was especially good. They communicated well, letting us know what to expect. They were very positive, encouraging us as well climbed. I highly recommend this group and would definitely use them again. Thank you Migration Venture Africa for an awesome experience.Show more

  One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! Migration Venture Africa has an excellent team, great camping structure and wonderful food. The guide spoke very good English and I didn't, but he really made an effort to understand me not to mention solid knowledge of hiking at high altitudes. I went alone with the team and I felt super safe and welcomed by everyone, not to mention the care with both my health condition and little care (pampering) that makes all the difference.   We used Migration Venture Africa for a 3 day safari and Kilimanjaro hike Absolutely amazing experience for both. We definitely would not have made it to the summit without our amazing guides, Vitalisi and Goodluck. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone, especially if traveling with family and friends. They made the experience so much fun for all of us. Our guide for the safari, Lameck, was equally impressive. He had so much information on all the animals and was so kind and accommodating throughout our safari. This was the trip of a lifetime and we were so grateful to everyone that made the experience wonderful.Show more

  We went for the 7-day Machame tour, summit Kilimanjaro on December 2018. I didnt know any operators so I chose the first well-rated Budget operator I could find on tripadvisor, which was Migration Venture. If I decided to summit again I would definitely choose them again. Our group of 9 was well taken care of at any time. We were provided with very good (and plenty!) of food, we had daily health checks to make sure we dont put ourselves in danger and we all made it to the top. Our guide Chris was simply amazing. I have had plenty of guides on different treks, they all didnt compare to Chris. He was both caring and fun at any time and was part of the reason we all made it. The summit day/night is really tough so I would recommend doing 7 instead of 6 days. Kilimanjaro is a beautiful mountain. I was enjoyed in the scenery of the machame route for 7days, as we were walking through clouds a lot, but the final days on higher altitude and the sunrise at the top totally made up for that, I real recommend this local company for their five star rate servicesShow more
