How much extra would it cost for me to sleep on my own and not share

    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • The Tuk Tuk ClubOperatorWritten May 2024

Our 3 Day Adventure is actually a private adventure so it would be just you on the trip and you wouldn't have to share with anyone, but the price of this trip is based on a minimum of 2 participants so it would be £658 if travelling this year, or £798 in 2025.

could you please tell me if this trip is suitable for a fat, unfit 55 year old woman please. I will be travelling with my 21 year old son and dont want to embarrass him

    Tour Details
    • The Tuk Tuk ClubOperatorWritten May 2024

Don't worry - you don't have to be very fit at all to do this trip and I'm sure you wouldn't embarrass your son. The only significant walking is on Day 3 when you'd do a hike in the foothills of Doi Inthanon (Thailand's highest mountain) but even that isn't super strenuous - it's around 6km but taken at a very leisurely pace and other than a little bit of uphill at the beginning (and nothing steep) the rest is flat or downhill. And it's about enjoying the forest and waterfalls rather than rushing along so I'm sure you'd be fine

Thank you so much that's put my mind at rest , I have been looking at a trip in February

    • The Tuk Tuk ClubOperatorWritten May 2024

We've had people in their late 70's and even into their early 80's join us for the 3 Day Adventure and they've coped no problems at all. And, of course, we always go at a pace to suit those travelling with us - the last thing we'd want is for anyone to be embarrassed or tired on a trip when you're meant to be having fun

    Asked on March 22nd, 2019

Do we really drive a Tuk Tuk?

    Transport
    • The Tuk Tuk ClubOperatorWritten March 2019

Yes, you do! Tuk Tuks are a cross between a motorbike (the accelerator is controlled with your right hand) and a car (clutch and brake with your feet) and all are manual (stick shift). You will have a thorough and detailed training period on every trip run by very experienced trainers who are extremely good at taking you to step by step through to getting you on the road with confidence.

  • A

    Ashley

    Asked on March 22nd, 2019

What driving licence do I need?

    Transport
    • The Tuk Tuk ClubOperatorWritten March 2019

You will need a full driving licence from your home country that allows you to drive manual (stick shift) cars. Secondly, you may need to obtain an International Driving Permit which is usually very quick and easy but the process is different in different countries – to bring along to compliment your driver's licence.
