Canillas de Albaida
You'll arrive at Finca el Cerrillo hotel in Canillas de Albaida and check in to settle into your room. Half board is included, so breakfast and dinner are taken care of throughout your stay here.

Competa
A quick 5-minute transfer gets you to Santa Ana Church, where you'll look around the local agricultural holdings in the area. From there, head to Bodegas Almijara for a wine tour and tasting to see how they make their local wines. Later, grab tapas lunch at Competa's main square, then you can either walk the mule path back to the hotel or take the transfer back, depending on how you're feeling.

Molino de Montosa
Head out to the white village of Sedella and take a walk that goes above the village past old Roman terraces through almond groves, making your way to Molino de Montosa with La Maroma peak as your backdrop. On clear days you'll see the Rif Mountains, and keep an eye out for griffon vultures and other birds of prey soaring overhead. After returning to Sedella, stop by Salvador's bar for a drink. The afternoon is yours to relax by the pool or spend time in the library back at the hotel.

Malaga (Optional Excursion)
This day is optional and takes you to Malaga for a full day of exploring on your own schedule. Start at Castillo de Gibralfaro fortress to get panoramic views across the city and coast. Then wander through the old town checking out the Alcazaba palace, Roman ruins, the 16th century cathedral, and the Picasso museum, which holds over 200 of his paintings.

Salares
Walk through olive and citrus groves, passing by the bat house where horseshoe bats live, and through woodland areas. You'll cross an Arabic bridge into Salares and visit the church of Santa Ana, which has an old Moorish minaret. Lunch happens at Theo's bar, and then a transfer takes you back to the hotel.

Nerja Caves and Barranco de Maro
A 45-minute transfer takes you to Cuevas de Nerja caves, where you'll walk 750 meters through a series of chambers featuring a 32-metre high column. Next, explore the Barranco de Maro gorge with wildflowers and rocky overhangs dotting the path. In Nerja town itself, you can visit the Balcon de Europa viewpoint, relax on the beach, or check out the Nerja Museum. Dinner is at a local restaurant in the evening.

You'll start with a gentle climb through cistus, rosemary, thyme, and wildflowers, following a trail that contours around the mountain below Cerro Verde. The route connects with the historic silk trail that leads into Granada Province before bringing you back to the viewpoint.
