  I made the trip to Tanzania the first week in May to make an attempt at the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro with the support of Spider Tours. Brayan met the two of us at the Kilimanjaro airport and drove us to the Panama Hotel. The hotel was clean with great beds and great breakfast. The climb was difficult, but incredibly rewarding. We picked early May to avoid the possibility of crowds. The weather was a challenge, hot, cold, wet, dry all in the same hour. The trip was really made by the exceptional support of our guides, cook and porters. I am vegan and the food could not have been better. We had fresh fruit and vegetables, in abundance, every day. Santje and Zacharia were impeccable as guides. They really helped me get through some difficult spots (down climbing from the lava tower in pouring rain). The staff were all friendly, supportive and made the trip memorable. I would not hesitate to recommend Spider Tours to anyone who wanted excellent service and warm, friendly support throughout a challenging but rewarding adventure. This was a great trip.Show more

  We did the Kilimanjaro climb via Lemosho route in 8 days. The Spider Tour team has been fantastic. The team was led by guides Brayan and Stefan plus 12 porters (yes it takes a lot of manpower to haul all the food, water, gas, tents, baggage...). They've been extremely professional and friendly and the whole experience has been a delight (although quite intense, basic fitness and training is highly recommended). The food was incredibly good and very generous quantities, we still wonder how the cook was able to deliver these super nice meals with the restrictions of a camping kitchen. We summit Kili one day in advance thanks to very favorable weather and return to moshi to rest a bit. We were so happy about the experience that we ended up doing a 4 day safari with Spider Tours right after.Show more

  Booked an 8 day Lemosho hike up Kilimanjaro with Spider Tours. Communication was quick with Bryan. Pick up from the Arusha airport was waiting for me even though I arrived early. Hotel in Moshi was decent although the restaurant/ cafe called Dawn around the corner from the hotel had much better food. The hike was very well organized and they made sure I had the proper equipment and warm clothing. Spider tours took me to a rental store to obtain some warmer clothing that I did need for the hike. My guide Daniel was excellent and kept a good slow pace to acclimatize to the altitude. I did have 8 days of medicine for the altitude. Some people didn't and did not summit.. Support staff were properly equipped and very friendly. Food was plentiful with lots of tea and warm soup to start every meal. I highly recommend this local company Spider Tours and Safaris. They can change any itinerary to meet your needs and interests. I did finish the hike in 6 days instead of 8 days and Spider Tours did offer other tours to fill the extra days before my flight.Show more

  I just did the 10 day Lemosho climb with Emanuel and crew from Spider Tours and Safaris. Wow! I knew they were the company for me when I first started looking around because they got back to all my emails within less than 10 hours no matter time difference, and were friendly and patient the whole time. Then I met Emanuel. What a class act! He made sure I had all appropriate gear, took care of the issue when my bag didn't arrive on the plane with me, and generally was pleasant and took care of me through the whole trip. He also booked me a wonderful stay in Zanzibar afterward. His prices are great and you get excellent food and unbeatable service. He is friends with all the porters and they are treated well and seem to enjoy working for him. Best of all, all profits stay in Tanzania and benefit an orphanage and a porter scholarship program. He also does safaris.Show more

  Choose this company for your mount Kilimanjaro climbing and Safari for wildlife animals they will take care of you and organize the trip they greeted us at airport and drove us to the Hotel our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, I climbed Kilimanjaro with my fiance and she was mentally and physically drained from hiking that many days so we didn't know whether we would summit how ever our guides were with us the whole time and made sure we made it to the top of mount Kilimanjaro, choose this company and you will be provided by great service thanks to spider tours and Safaris.Show more

  This was my first guided climb but I was very pleased withe the service and support that brayan and his team at spider tours and safaris provided. They graciously pick you up at the airport, transport you to a wonderful hotel and assist you with your orientation to their culture. The climb became the secondary adventure for me. Being in Tanzania and being around the wonderful people brayan has on his team was truly a life changing event.   brayan greeted us at the airport with a huge smile and it set the tone for the entire trip. Our climb to Kilimanjaro was memorable, enjoyable and amazing! The hotel was clean and well kept, our guides were fabulous, the food was great, and we made it to the top! brayan was flexible and adaptable and took care of us for the entire trip. This is a local operator so any money spent goes directly to the people of Tanzania-- spider tours and safaris, porters and guides. spider tours and safaris treats their porters very well and only hires guides and porters that are experience, upbeat and cheerful. I would give my highest recommendation!!Show more
