  • D

    Diane

    Asked on February 15th, 2026

The tour looks amazing. I am very disappointed that , as a single female, I am expected to pay an extra £800 for a private room. Lots of tour companies do not charge a single supplement.

    Single supplement
    • Explore!OperatorWritten February 2026

I completely understand your disappointment regarding the single supplement. The additional cost is never intended as a penalty for travelling solo. It's applied because our hotel providers charge per room rather than per person, and when a room isn't being shared, the full cost falls to a single occupant.

  • M

    Asked on December 3rd, 2025

    How much for single room

You can check pricing of the single supplement by pressing "check availability" and then "confirm dates" and then choose the single supplement room on the tour radar page for the tour.

    Susan

    Asked on March 18th, 2025

I am interested in the Classic Egypt with Nile Cruise. Can you please let me know what are the optional tours that are available for this tour?

    Tour Details
    • Explore!OperatorWritten March 2025

Optional tours include: Cairo (Saqqara and Unas Pyramids $30 USD, Half day Islamic Cairo $40 USD), Aswan (Dinner in Nubian Village $20 USD, Aswan High Dam tour $25 USD, Felucca cruise $10 USD), Abu Simbel excursion $100 USD, Luxor (Tutankhamun's Tomb entrance, Karnak Sound and Light Show $20 USD, Hot Air Balloon $120 USD).

      TravelerWritten March 2025

I am interested in travelling in May. Is it safe to travel with the unrest in neighbouring countries?

    • Explore!OperatorWritten March 2025

Egypt remains a safe country for tourists to travel to. Explore keeps the travellers safety at top of mind and if it were unsafe for us to run trips, we would not run our trips there. Our trips on the road in Egypt have been running safely without interruption.

    Asked on February 2nd, 2023

Hi, I have celiac disease and need to be strictly gluten-free. Are you able to accommodate?

    Meals
    • Explore!OperatorWritten February 2023

Where possible we would accommodate this. However please bear in mind that when eating outside of the main hotels and for the meals not included then smaller cafes, street food e.t.c may not be able to cater for this and Egypt is very heavy on bread, rice e.t.c. I'd also recommend taking some snacks with you.

      TravelerWritten September 2023

Hi, I'm currently on the Classic Egypt with Nile Cruise and we're being asked to pay for basically all of our outings. Is this the norm? What should be included with our tour purchase, exactly?

    • Explore!OperatorWritten September 2023

A selection of optional activities are listed with prices. Please note that all optional prices are in either US Dollars or Egyptian Pounds. There may be a minimum requirement of 5 passengers on certain optional excursions. Prices are subject to change and all payments need to be made in cash.
