Seeing three kinds of whales in Seward was really lovely. Walking on the glacier at McCarthy was very special.

Hi Martha, thanks so much for your feedback. Upon reviewing your comments with your Explore leader, it seems the itinerary was delivered as planned, usually we arrive back into Anchorage by 4pm on day 13 ready for the final evening. The opportunity to hike around the area was considered, however those routes available on the day were deemed unsuitable for the whole group to participate. We of course appreciate that some may prefer more activities, and perhaps more walking incorporated into the trip, yet this is very much down to personal preference which I hope you can appreciate. Going forward, you may wish to consider our dedicated Walking and Trekking trips which can be found here: https://www.explore.co.uk/experiences/walking-and-trekking-tours

Many thanks for your review, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip. There are some long drives to be able to cover so much ground, but we hope that the spectacular scenery en route made these worth it.

Is this tour from the 5th July to 17th July 2025 a definite departure

    • Explore!OperatorWritten February 2024

At this stage the 5th July 2025 departure is not guaranteed, we have one passenger booked and normally require a minimum of four to guarantee. As the trip is 2025 it has only been on sale for a few weeks so it is not uncommon for numbers to be low at this early stage. You are welcome to book a space on the trip, we would just advise not to book any flight arrangements until the trip is guaranteed.
