I am a solo traveller looking at booking the 25–29 August tour. My flight would arrive at Ulaanbaatar airport at 07:20 on 25 August. Is this early enough to join the tour that morning, and could you collect me directly from the airport? I am considering a flight departing UBN at 00:25 on 30 August so I would also like to know what time I would get back in Ulaanbaatar on 29 August? Is the airport transfer included in the cost of the tour? If not how much should I budget for this journey?

The tour launch from dragon bus terminal and the start time is 12pm. The return time is around 6-7 pm depending on the bus speed. This tour doesn't include professional guide, driver and airport pick up and drop-offs the airport pick up and drop off is 40$ each. However, we can take you from your hotel or guest house and take you to bus terminal :)

Is it possible to start the tour on Aug 10 or join from Day 2? I am an experienced rider and would like a more advanced riding pace if possible.

We don't have group on that day, However, we can organize private transfer and ger for you on 10th, would you like to book private ger and transportation? However, during nomadic family stay there will be group tours from other companies and from other individuals, so horse riding might be shared.

Would it be possible for me to join the 4-day tour instead of the 5-day tour? I would really love to participate, but due to the length of my stay, it is very difficult for me to join the 5-day tour.

To clarify, this tour does not include a professional English-speaking guide. The tour includes a driver and a genuine local horse guide who will accompany you during the horse riding experience. However, the horse guide does not speak English.

Can we have a private accommodation to sleep in for us? We are happy to pay more if it would cost more if it means we aren't sharing with other travelers.

Overall, this was an amazing tour and I’m so happy I chose it. The highlight for me was Michelle, who picked me up at the beginning of the trip. I was quite anxious because I hadn’t received detailed pickup information until the day before. As a first-time traveler to Mongolia, I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I told Michelle about my concerns, she took care of everything. She contacted the tour team, explained all the details, and made sure I understood what was happening. Her hospitality was incredible, and she made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. During the tour, I stayed with Seegii’s family, and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the ger was cozy and beautiful, and the family welcomed me with so much kindness. I came to Mongolia mainly because I wanted to enjoy horseback riding, and when I told them that, they happily let me ride freely. I really appreciated that they respected what I wanted from the trip. The nature was absolutely breathtaking. The landscapes are something you have to see with your own eyes, and staying with a nomadic family made the experience even more special. It’s a tour I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience the real Mongolia. One suggestion for improvement: I wish there had been better communication from the tour company before the trip. I didn’t receive enough information in advance, so I felt quite anxious before arriving. A little more detailed information beforehand would make the experience even better.   My flight arrives at Ulaanbaatar Airport at 1:20 PM on August 9. If possible, I would like to join the tour later on the first day, instead of starting in the morning, so that I can still participate in the full 5-day tour. Would it be possible for me to join the group after I arrive in Ulaanbaatar? Also, could you please let me know what time we usually arrive back in Ulaanbaatar on the last day of the tour?

  Yes, it is possible if a group is formed for those dates. At the moment, we don't know yet whether there will be a group departure on August 9, but if there is, the tour usually leaves Ulaanbaatar around 12:00 PM. Since your flight arrives at 1:20 PM, it is impossible to catch a bus. As for the last day, we usually arrive back in Ulaanbaatar between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, depending on road conditions and the bus schedule from Orkhon Valley to Ulaanbaatar.

  Are there any special things we should bring with us for the horse trekking? For example, specific clothing, equipment, or anything else you recommend?

  For the horse trekking, you don't need to bring any special equipment. We provide the main riding equipment, including helmets. I recommend bringing: Comfortable trousers suitable for riding, Comfortable, closed-toe shoes or hiking boots, Warm layers, as temperatures can drop quite a lot in the evening, A waterproof jacket or rain jacket, Gloves, especially if you are sensitive to cold. You don't need to bring your own sleeping bag, as we provide sleeping bags for the trek. For the main luggage, you can leave anything you don't need during the horseback riding at the base/accommodation, so you only need to carry a small amount of personal belongings with you while riding.
