I throughly enjoyed the trek up the valley, stopping at tea houses along the way to chat and enjoy garlic soup, tibetan bread, and of course marsala tea. I won't say the trek was easy by any means. But at the end of the day it was rewarding. Accommodation was excellent, toilet facilities very good, menus with lots of good food to choose from, scenery fantastic. We saw, mountain goats, deer, monkeys, lots of bird species, one wren, and a pair of red pandas; along with friendly travelling dogs. I am pleased I took along my sleeping bag as the nights in February were cold. While walking in the sunshine it wasn't necessary to wear a heavy coat. Hats and sun glasses are necessary. Garlic soup or as they say mountain medicine was my main lunch item to ward off altitude sickness and vampires. Though I didn't see any on this trek. All in all the trek was well organised, excellent guide, lovely people.Show more

In January, I embarked on the Langtang Gosaikunda trek, arranging it through Nepal Trekking Routes. Shailesh, an exceptional individual, welcomed me at the airport and went above and beyond to enhance my stay in Nepal. The trek commenced in the breathtaking Langtang valley, and as we ascended, the valley unfolded to reveal majestic, ice-capped mountains. In Kyjangin Gompa village, we encountered warm and engaging locals who shared insights into the earthquake and their way of life. After descending partly, we resumed our ascent toward the sacred Gosaikunda lake. Despite the chilly temperatures, it added to the overall enchanting experience. Alongside my guide Ratna Lama and porter Binod, we became friends and had an incredible time. I really recommend Shailesh for booking, and I am certain to return to Nepal for future adventures!Show more

What an incredible adventure! We didn't know what to expect, but everything was taken care of. Mr. Lalit (our guide) and Mr. Nambraj (our porter) were knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. We saw monkeys and yaks while we trekked through the rhododendron forest, through Langtang Valley to Kyangen. The weather was perfect every single day and Mr. Lalit brought us to tea houses that offered hot showers at the end of every day. When we reached the summit of Kyanjing Ri, my partner (now fiance') asked me to marry him. Mr Lalit brought out white scarves for us both, gave us fruit and a Nepali marriage blessing. After we made it back to town we had a traditional dinner at the cultural center to end our trip. We couldn't ask for a better experience.Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
