We don't have any other solo travelers to share a room with. If you book the tour, we will arrange a single room. The gorilla permit is included in the price for the 3-day gorilla trek. If we receive your booking latest by this Sunday March 8, we can arrange your gorilla trek from March 10-12.

1. Good that you are all healthy for the gorilla hike. 2. The accommodations can provide vegan meals. 3. We will double check with the accommodation, but generally all cottages should have electric power.

Is there any possibility that we could go? I came to understand that it takes 3 to 4 months to get a permit to enter Uganda.

If you are referring to the Uganda tourist visa, it takes about 7-14 days to be issued the visa when applied for online. Note that if travelling to Uganda via Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you can apply for the East Africa Tourist Visa on arrival at Kigali International Airport. The East Africa visa grants multiple entries into Rwanda and Uganda.

Gorilla permits are generally available in November for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Note that a gorilla permit in Rwanda costs USD 1,500 compared to USD 800 in Uganda. We can definitely drop you off in Kampala on the last day of the tour.

We were the only 2 on our tour so received individualised attention from our driver Amanya. He really took care of us and we learnt a lot from him. Just wow! Pick up in Kigali with a 5 hour drive across border into Uganda. Border crossing took about 30 minutes of this due to x ray of bags and walking across border. Accommodations at the lodge were basic, but it was a community sponsored lodge, so we felt like we were helping the locals. Basic room with a bed, a bathroom, and a front porch. One outlet, one light in the bedroom, one in the bathroom and one on the from porch. WIFI available at the restaurant and reception, although we could get it in our room. The food was great at the restaurant. People very friendly and helpful. The gorilla trek was fantastic! Family of 13 gorillas appeared in front of us and spent an hour in our midst. Unbelievable experience! $800 of your trip goes to your entrance fee to the Brindi Park. Jackson was our guide and did a great job.Show more

We got advised on extra excursions and could pay in advance. Our guide Amanya went above and beyond to give us the most unforgettable experience. Lodgings were comfortable with super friendly staff, food was great, we were well hydrated with water and had a comfy vehicle for some bumpy roads.   The cost for the trip listed on the tour page is USD 2,160 for one person travelling and staying in a private single room. This price covers: One gorilla trekking permit for Uganda (USD 800), Budget accommodation for two nights & meals, Transport in a 4x4 vehicle and fuel for 3 days, English speaking driver/guide, and drinking water during transfers. The price doesn't cover tourist visas for Rwanda & Uganda, travel insurance, tips & gratuities, porter fees, and other costs of a personal nature. The porter fees would be an extra USD 20 payable to the porter directly on the day of the trek. For accommodation in Kigali before and after the trip: Heaven Boutique Hotel, Eagle View Guest House, Yambi Guest House, Ikaze B&B (close to the airport), Eagle View Lodge.

  I would be keen to visit Bwindi in Uganda, as indicated in the itinerary. The only difference is that on the last day I would like to be dropped off in Kampala instead of Kigali so that I can explore Uganda too. I am looking at mid to end Nov in this case.
