Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport and head to your hotel in the city center. After you get settled, take some time to walk around the nearby streets to get a feel for Cairo's atmosphere. The mix of ancient history and modern energy is right there as you explore. If you feel up for it, grab dinner at a local restaurant in the evening, or just relax at the hotel after your travels.

Cairo
Head out early to the Giza Pyramids and see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Pyramid of Khafre, and Pyramid of Menkaure up close. You'll also catch the Sphinx from there. From the pyramids, you'll transfer to the Grand Egyptian Museum to walk through their collection of ancient artifacts, including items from King Tutankhamun's tomb. By evening, you're back at your hotel.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
After breakfast, you'll fly from Cairo to Luxor and check into your hotel on the East Bank. The rest of the day, walk through Karnak's towering columns, statues, and sacred lakes. Then check out Luxor Temple's hieroglyphs and massive architecture nearby. You'll have dinner at your leisure back at the hotel.

- Day 4
Luxor
Cross to the West Bank and spend the day visiting tombs in the Valley of the Kings, including Tutankhamun's. Continue to the Valley of the Queens, then to Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III. You'll also see the Colossi of Memnon on the way. Return to your East Bank hotel for a quiet evening.

Luxor to Aswan
Travel south along the Nile to Edfu and tour the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt's best-preserved temples. Walk through its massive gateways and see the intricate reliefs carved into the walls. Later, head to Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double temple with symmetrical design dedicated to both Sobek the crocodile god and Horus. You'll arrive in Aswan by evening.

Aswan
Start the day in Aswan and visit the Unfinished Obelisk in its granite quarry to see how ancient workers carved monuments. Take a short boat ride to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis, and walk through its architecture and carvings. The rest of the day is yours to wander through local markets, relax by the Nile, or spend time at your hotel.

Aswan to Cairo
Fly back to Cairo and spend the full day exploring the city with a private guide. Start in Old Cairo checking out the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Coptic Museum. Then move to Islamic Cairo to see historic mosques and gateways. Finish at Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can pick up souvenirs, spices, and handicrafts. Your guide keeps a comfortable pace with stops for tea or lunch along the way.
