Regarding your main concern about the accommodation in Siwa, we would like to respectfully clarify a few important points to ensure accuracy for future readers. Siwa Oasis is a very unique and remote destination with extremely limited accommodation options. The number of eco-lodges that meet international standards is small, and the highest category available in Siwa is eco-lodges rated at 3-star to 4-star level, based on local infrastructure and sustainability regulations. Azad Eco Lodge is one of the top eco-lodges in Siwa and is widely used by reputable operators due to its reliability, cleanliness, and service standards. While Taziri Eco Lodge is indeed a well-known property, availability is very limited and cannot always be guaranteed. In such cases, accommodations are provided within the same eco-lodge category, in line with what is realistically available in Siwa. During your stay, we did not receive any complaints or requests for a change of accommodation, which usually allows us to intervene immediately when possible. With regard to the smell caused by burning garbage, this is unfortunately a local environmental practice in the oasis and surrounding areas, and while we understand how unpleasant it can be, it is completely outside the control of any tour operator or hotel. We would also like to emphasize that the tour itself was fully private, with private transportation, guiding, and services provided exclusively for you, as confirmed by your own remarks regarding the itinerary and organization. We truly regret that your expectations regarding accommodation were not aligned with the reality of travel conditions in remote desert destinations such as Siwa.
