Itinerary
- Day 1
Dubrovnik to Sipan/Slano
You'll board your sailing boat in Dubrovnik at 1pm and head along the south Dalmatian Coast toward Sipan Island or the small village of Slano. After settling in for the evening, grab dinner at one of the local restaurants where you can watch the sunset over this quiet fishermen's village.

Landmarks Gruz Harbour Sipan Island - Day 2
Sipan/Slano - Mljet - Korcula
You'll head out to Mljet National Park this morning and spend time around the two salt lakes there. A boat takes you over to St Mary Isle where you can see an old church and monastery standing on the water. Swimming in the lakes is an option, or you can rent a bike and cycle around them if you prefer. After grabbing lunch, you'll continue sailing towards Korcula and stop for a swim in one of the bays along the way. By afternoon you'll arrive in Korcula's old town, which has a distinctive fish bone street pattern that makes it easy to get a bit turned around wandering through it.

- Day 3
Korcula - Vis
The day starts with sailing towards Bisevo to visit the Blue Cave, which is a natural cave formation worth seeing. From there you'll head to Vis, an island that only opened to visitors recently because it had been closed off for military reasons. You'll check out the town of Vis on the northern side, which grew up near the remains of ancient Issa, which was the first real urban settlement in Croatia. There's history layered throughout the place, so having a guide help you understand what you're looking at makes a difference.

Vis - Hvar
You'll sail to Šćedro, a small island near Hvar, where there's time set aside for swimming and cooling off in the clear water. After lunch you're heading to Hvar itself, the longest island in the Adriatic Sea. The Renaissance cathedral there is worth a look, and the community theatre is particularly interesting since it dates back to 1612, making it one of Europe's oldest. The island has plenty of restaurants and bars scattered around if you want to grab dinner or drinks later in the evening.

- Day 5
Hvar - Bol - Makarska
You'll sail towards Brac and make your way to Bol, a traditional fishing village with a local feel. Zlatni Rat Beach (Golden Horn) is where you'll spend time swimming, and it's one of those beaches people come specifically to see because of how the water and sand look together. After that you're sailing towards Makarska, which has more of a Mediterranean resort atmosphere to it. The beach area has a nice promenade for walking, and the streets inland have churches and historical sites mixed in with the regular buildings, so there's enough to look at while you're on foot.

Makarska to Pucisca
You'll sail to Pucisca on the northern side of Brac Island, a typical Mediterranean town sitting in a deep bay. This area is known for its white stone, and you might have a chance to visit one of the few traditional stone masonry workshops still operating in Europe. Tonight features a special Captain's Dinner.

- Day 7
Pucisca - Split
You're sailing to Split today, a UNESCO-protected city that has layers of history built into it. If you take the optional guided tour, an English-speaking guide will take you through the old city centre and show you Diocletian's Palace, which is about 1700 years old and still stands as the main structure defining the city layout. Having someone walk you through it helps you understand what you're actually looking at and why the city developed the way it did.
