We have availability for 2026 departures between April and September. The 04-Sep-2026 departure is currently priced at AU$4,750.00 per person based on twin-share accommodation. Trip rates are subject to change.

We would like to explore the option of joung the tour on 22nd May 2026. But leaving the tour at Gdansk on day 8. Is that possible? Since we will not avail of Malbork and Warsaw sightseeing, and 2 night's hotel stay in Warsaw and the drop off at the airport on that last day, how much reduction are you able to offer us?

You're absolutely welcome to leave the tour early if that suits your travel plans. Should you decide to depart in Gdansk on Day 8, just let us know once your booking is confirmed so we can make a note of it. However, please note that our tours operate on a fixed, guided itinerary, and as such, any unused portions, including sightseeing, hotel stays, or transfers are non-refundable.

is arport pick up and drop off included?

transfers are included on the first and last day of the trip. Complimentary arrival transfers depart John Paul II International Krakow-Balice Airport at 12:00 and 15:00 on the first day of the tour. Complimentary departure transfers arrive at Warsaw Chopin Airport on the last day of the tour at 07:30 and 10:00.

Any additional charge for solo traveller and how big is the group?

If you choose to book this tour in a Single Room, an additional Single Supplement fee of $900.00 will apply, bringing the total cost to $4,725.00. The Classic Group for this tour typically consists of an average of 33 guests, with a maximum capacity of 40 guests.

What are the check-in and check-out times for the accommodations?

Typical check-in time is at 15:00 and check-out is at 12:00, although this can vary by hotel.

Are airport transfers included in the tour package?

Yes, the tour includes complimentary arrival and departure transfers at specified times.

I will be visiting Poland with my daughter from May 26th to June 3rd. I'd like to stay a 3-5 days longer. Maybe do some hiking/trekking in the Carpathian Mountains. Is there a trip you have going that I can join and then leave early. I'm a solo traveler.

All of our tours have an option to join later or leave early; it's just that there will be no compensation or refund for the unused portion of the tour. If you're planning to extend your stay in Poland, we can offer a maximum of 3 nights of extra pre and post accommodations on the first and last hotel of the tour. More than 3 nights can be requested, but it's not guaranteed.

Are there opportunities for solo travelers to have their own room?

Solo travelers can book a single room, which may be subject to additional charges as a single supplement.

What are the recommended gratuities for tour staff?

Recommended daily gratuities are around EUR €7.00 for travel directors and a lower rate for drivers, which can vary.

We have made many trips with Smithsonian and Odysseys and were apprehensive about taking a tour with a company which was unfamiliar to us, particularly to an unfamiliar we have never visited. We did the research and were impressed by the favorable reviews of Insight Vacations and decided to take a chance. We were impressed! The policy is that the tours are limited to 20 persons. The full-sized Mercedes built bus had eight rows removed, so leg room was more than adequate. The tour leader, Alex, was absolutely amazing. An Australian with Polish roots,, Alex displayed, both, knowledge and passion for the beauty and complicated and tragic history of Poland. The tour caught my eye, because it covered the highlights I was interested in seeing. While nine days hardly does justice to the amazing history of Poland, we feel that we received a great introduction and an exceptional cultural and learning introduction. All of the hotels were exceptional and while Alex handled ever detail with alacrity, he deferred to excellent local guides at each tour stop. All else would not matter if one did not feel safe during the travel itself and the driving of "both" Rolfs was exceptional. I have visited well over 100 countries, including almost all of the countries of Europe and found Poland to be beautiful and culturally and geographically compelling. There are too many places on my wish list to seriously consider returning, but, both my wife and I would welcome a return to Poland and another adventure with Insight. This is an adventure you would long remember.Show more

Everything was on a strict time constraint. There needs to be in a change in the itinerary, and for the price that was paid I much rather go with another tour operator. That being said I will say the food and the accommodation work great as well as the tour leader.Show more

KRAKOW: Everything was wonderful in Krakow; by far my favorite city on the tour. There was ample time to see things on our own and enjoy the group activities. ZAKOPANE: The afternoon tour was fine. One option you might want to mention is the spa services at the resort. I made reservations for a massage/facial. When I mentioned this to others on the trip, there were a few that also wanted to do that, but unfortunately, there were no available appointments. I wouldn't necessarily make it an option, but I think you should suggest the services at the spa and if interested in scheduling something, it would be the individual's responsibility to make those arrangements. Unfortunately, some people don't do the level of research in advance as I do. The evening meal was nice, but should be in a bigger venue, as the band was so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation with those in your group. AUSCHWITZ: A must visit. WROCLAW: Lovely city; all activities were well planned. POZNAN: A few things I would change. The hotel in Poznan was not very nice; the original hotel was the Sheraton Poznan Hotel. I'm not sure why there was a change. I would look at changing to a nicer hotel, as the hotel we stayed (not the Sheraton) was dingy and dirty inside and out. Also, in Poznan, one of our activities was to view a comical twist to the making of a croissant. I think this could be eliminated, giving the group some needed free time to explore the city or rest. I would have much rather walked around the town, than to have gone to this presentation. Perhaps make it an option; it didn't add to my overall experience. TORUN: Beautiful city; enjoyed this stop. GDANSK: Loved every minute of this. WARSAW: Loved every minute of this.Show more

If you're planning to extend your stay in Poland, we can offer a maximum of 3 nights of extra pre and post accommodations on the first and last hotel of the tour. Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Insight Vacations. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Insight Vacations will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
