I was extremely impressed at Maite's ability to relate to all types and groups of people. She was always inviting and made sure no one felt left out. She made a conscious effort every day to talk to everyone in the bus and it felt very genuine. The tour itself was amazing and it was even more fun being with a guide who knew the local people and places. I am so glad that Maite was my guide, I can't imagine the trip going any better.

It were those tips she provided that made the trip memorable! She also gave such great info regarding the history of Italy as well as info on the modern state of the country. She is such a well rounded awesome tour guide and I felt that without her my trip wouldn't have been as memorable!

I remember me and my fiend d wanted to go to the Uffizzi in Florence but didn't know if we would be able to fit it in with the schedule since there is a big wait for tickets. Maïté was so kind and considerate and stood in line for us while we were on another supervised tour. I don't think every tour guide would take the time to do this. Maïté really cares that the people on her tour have a good time, and I did!

I went on the Mediterranean Highlights (Madrid-Rome) in Nov 2016. The tour itself was spectacular seeing a lot of Europe in 14 days, but was made the best by having Maite. Really an unforgettable experience and I would recommend anybody to use Contiki and especially a trip run by you Maite! (I have already recommended people!) whatever tour you do, the coaches are much better than you can imagine and the driver/trip manager combination is brilliant.

My girlfriend and I did the European Relaxation tour with Maine. We had just came from traveling Northern Europe and spent the remainder of our 10 day vacation on this Contiki. The stark difference between contiki tour vs non contiki tour was the simple fact that we didn't have to worry about all the nuances with travel logistics. And I'm not saying that we didn't have options,or that we were boxed into a predefined plan, it definitely was a wide variety of stuff that we wanted to do and stuff we would never known existed. As much as I may be able to attribute this to Contiki and their travel model, this model is only successful when you have insanely talented people like Maite. She literally blew us away every day, from start to finish. She is so well planned and fun and knowledgeable and interesting. When I tell my friends about my trip, she is a big part of the story. She knew so much about history, but also about new trends. She is educated and street smart. Case and point, the first night, we saw 5 major sites in Rome within 2 hours. Not because we didn't stop and enjoy, but because we would take narrow alleys that were short cuts through the city. Then she would break out into a history lesson. I and on the very last day, after spending all day learning about the history of Athens, we all met up in the lobby where there was a piano where she sat at and broke out this insane classical piece. She then proceeded to take us to a locals only rooftop craft cocktail bar a with one of the best views the Acropolis. Hands down one of the dopest persons I have met in life.

The tour took us all around It…I went on Contiki's Simply Italy Tour with a friend of mine in August 2016 for about two weeks, and it was one of the most memorable and incredible experiences I've had. The tour took us all around Italy (Sorrento, Pompeii, Rome, Florence, Tuscany, Capri, Venice, Milan, Verona, Cinque Terre). The transportation in between cities was smooth and comfortable. The driver was friendly, excellent, and there were no issues at all; the accommodations were great as well. This tour was a fast paced one but totally worth it, as you get to see different parts of Italy, but the tour, the tour guide, and driver ensured that we made each minute of our trip worthwhile. I highly recommend this particular tour.
Our tour guide was Maite Morelli. You can't ask for a better tour guide. She played a large part in making this trip so memorable. Maite is so passionate about her job, and is so knowledgeable. She knew the smallest details of each place that we visited, and was happy to take questions. She made us all feel like one big family while we were on tour, and was so welcoming, friendly, and always so happy. I imagine that the duties and life of a tour guide are not easy, especially when you're having to look after and ensure the safety and happiness of about 50 people. However, Maite was absolutely perfect as a tour guide. She gave us insider tips of each place we went to, such as where to get the best gelato, where the best views are, unique places to visit that are off the beaten path of tourists, and she even went above and beyond by giving us maps of each city we visited, and marking down her recommendations and suggestions. She also went through the maps thoroughly with us, and took time to answer all of our questions. She made sure we got the most out of each experience and city we visited. There are a million other reasons as to why Maite is by far the best tour manager I've been on a trip with (prior to Simply Italy and Maite, I had been on two prior Contiki tours). Maite was by far the best tour manager and I can't say enough about how awesome she is. Any person would be very lucky to have her as a tour guide, and I feel fortunate to have had Maite make our Simply Italy trip such an amazing one.

Words cannot explain how amazing this women really is. Before the trip I was nervous to travel in a big group of people, but now looking back, it was one of the best trips I've done (and I've traveled quite a bit). Everyone who had been on other Contikis was even saying how she was the best by far!
She made everyone feel comfortable and she knows her stuff well.
Not only did she tell us of the beauty of history, she also knew the best places hidden food places... especially best galati places! She told us everything we wanted know about each city.
She really goes into a lot of effort in creating her 'daily sheets' that includes her amazing artwork! :) not to mention a few other little hidden surprises along the way. I truly feel so lucky to have gotten to travel with her, hope to get her again next time.

One of the best part of my Mediterranean tour was definitely my tour guide Maïté! She was an angel that worked very hard and fought airports and Airlines to get my suitcase back after it never made it to destination in Madrid! She had an answer for every question that I had! She new all the best places to eat, the tips and tricks to make the trip an experience of a lifetime! I couldn't thank her enough for the best time of my life on this 2 week trip! We also had an amazing driver on are great coach bus. I recommend a Contiki tour to anyone who wants to live an adventure and make new friends at the same time! It's no worries and live free experience! I would do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat!

It's no surprise that Contiki tours are fun. What they don't cover in the brochures is how amazing the guides can be and how many friends you'll make. She was so knowledgeable not only about cultures, languages, foods but also about the local area and the best places to visit so that you got the most out of your short stay. She was always so organised and friendly and willing to help try and make your experience the best it could be. When you were on her tour you felt like you were safe and protected. I was on the contiki on the night of the Nice terrorist attack and I can honestly say Maite risked her life for our group and went above and beyond to get us all home safely. I will be forever thankful and I don't think I will ever find a guide as passionate, humorous, fun or loving as Maite. Contiki is so lucky to have her as an employee and I would go on a tour again with her in a heartbeat!

I was blown away by the amount of knowledge Maite had, I got so much more out of this trip than I ever could have imagined in terms of the educational experience I got. I was blown away by the passion she had for the countries history as well as the current state of the country.
She also had great personal relationships with the locals at all the excursion sites, they liked her so much that they treated her tours extra well! (she said its because she brings them coffee)
Finally, she had amazing recommendations on local spots we could go during our free time which allowed us to find some hidden gems that I would never have expected to find on a group tour.
I could go on and on about how great she is but I will leave it at that. You are truly lucky to have her as a guide.

She's an amazing…Maite is hands down one of the best tour guides I have ever had!!! She always has the local knowledge no matter where you are and she is always there to help and answer any questions! She's an amazing guide and soo much fun aswell! 100% recommend!!!

We chose Contiki in Italy (we were in Europe for 6 weeks and travelled everywhere else independently) because we wanted to see a lot of sights in a short period. Maite certainly helped us achieve our goal. Every morning she had got us up on time, told us the history and fun facts about everywhere we were going and made great sight and restaurant suggestions for our free time.
It's been 4 years since I met Maite and I've been to 7 countries since. It was the best tour I've ever done!
Contiki has helped me see 30 countries or so! Seeing the woeld and meeting new friends is definitely the reason I kept coming back to Contiki. What can i say about my experience with maite. All i can say is you cannot find a better tour manager then her. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing time and also makes sure ever…What can i say about my experience with maite. She knows alot about each city and makes sure to point out the highlights not to miss. If u dont go on an extra she is really good in letting you know what is good to see and not to miss out if the extra activity is a must see. I have had bad experiences with tours and i would honestly recommend any of her tours. Shes fun, knowledgeable and enjoys her job.

Maite was an incredible tour manager! She not only provided us with histories and must see spots of all of the cities we traveled to, but jumped right in and experienced them with us. I would have had a fraction of the fun if she had not led the tour! I would absolutely travel again with Maite and seriously hope that our paths cross again some time soon!

I did a 10 day contiki in Itally and Maite really made the trip! I was blown away by how knowledgeable she was, I really got more than I ever could have hoped for by having her for a tour, I felt like…I did a 10 day contiki in Itally and Maite really made the trip! I was blown away by how knowledgeable she was, I really got more than I ever could have hoped for by having her for a tour, I felt like I was getting 10x what I paid for just from her knowledge alone.
She also had amazing relationships with so many locals and the people running of all our excursions so they treated our groups extra well, it was so nice to see.
She also had tons of amazing personal recommendations of things to do during our free time, cool local spots that I never would have found on my own and that I didnt expect to get to experience on a group tour.
I could go on and on about how great she was but I will leave it there. Your company is truly lucky to have her.

We had an excellent time. The tour allowed us to see a good range of sights. The activities were informative. The hotels were comfortable, and the tour guide and driver were exceptional.
