    Contiki tours have an age restriction, and guests must be between 18-35 years old to be eligible to join. However, we would like to recommend one of our sister brands - Costsaver which is open to all ages and may be a great fit for you. Costsaver has all essentials taken care of with the flexibility of 1000 Choice Experiences, to tailor your trip with your way. Alternatively, you could look at any of our other Tour Brands such as Trafalgar, Insight or Luxury Gold.

  Is travel/medical insurance required or just recommended for the Rome to London Quest tour? If yes, are both medical and travel insurance required and what exactly must be covered?

    Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all Contiki tours but not required. While specific requirements can vary, Contiki generally advises that travelers have comprehensive travel insurance in place before departure.
    
    This insurance should ideally include:
    
    • Medical coverage (including emergency treatment and hospitalization)
    • Travel-related coverage (such as trip cancellation, interruption, and delays)
    • Emergency evacuation and repatriation
    • Personal belongings and baggage protection
    
    Although it may not always be strictly mandatory, having both medical and travel insurance ensures that you are fully protected in case of unexpected situations during the trip.

    Contiki tours have an age restriction, requiring guests to be between 18-35 years old to participate. As you are outside this age range, you would not be eligible to join the trip. We have Trafalgar and Costsaver tours that offer fantastic travel experiences starting from age 5, with no upper age restrictions, which may be a perfect fit for you. Costsaver is the brand for people who want to travel knowing they will be taken care of but still have the choice and flexibility to tailor the trip their way while Trafalgar is the ultimate all-rounder in travel experiences, allowing people to see the icons as well as dive into the culture and get an up close and personal look at how the locals live.     We completely understand your request, it's natural to want to share a room with your partner.
    
    For the Contiki Rome to London Quest, the accommodation style is fixed as multi-share, with up to six travelers of the same gender sharing hostels or hotels. Unfortunately, this itinerary does not allow upgrades to private or couple-shared rooms.
    
    However, if you prefer to share a room with your partner, we recommend booking the Contiki Rome to London Quest Plus, which offers twin-share accommodation options. Please note that the Quest Plus version will only be available in 2027.

  We are two people planning to travel together, and we would prefer to share a room for most, if not all, of the trip. Could you please confirm whether a twin-share room option is available so that we may stay together throughout the tour?

    Apologies as the only room option available for this tour is multi-share. We do not have a Twin Room option for this tour.
    
    Please also be advised that Contiki only caters to travellers ages 18 to 35 years old.

  Is the tour finishes in Amsterdam or in London? I'm reading with my understanding that it's either you depart in Amsterdam or you can continue and complete your tour in London.

    The tour officially concludes in Amsterdam at 10:00, but you also have the option to continue on to London, where the trip ends at 18:30. If you choose London as your final stop, a post-night stay is required, since arrival is later in the day.

    Optional experiences can be purchased directly from your trip manager during the trip, using either cash or credit card. Additionally, your trip will be starting from Rome to London which is part of the trip package.
