It was a long day from Balestrand to Oslo with the scenery on the ferry, the Flam railway and the trains stunning. It was very good that there was a bus to take us from the station in Oslo to the hotel. The tours of Bergen and Oslo were excellent and the tour guide excellent. We were so lucky with the weather. This tour delivers on the scenery at an affordable cost. Accommodations are good. Outstanding breakfasts at Clarion hotels. Good dinners in Balestrand. Using public boat transportation to Balestrand is less than ideal when going Bergen to Oslo route as to get window seats the queue for boarding we were told started at 6:30 for 8 am departure. We had interior seats so spent most of trip on top deck standing. Spoke to someone who rode 2 days later as you use next leg of route to Flam arrived 7:25 and got window seat. Why disappointing going Bergen to Oslo: as this was first viewing of the beauty you travel to see. Time in Balestrand is weather dependent for some activities. Lunch options in Balestrand very limited as 2 of 3 places outside hotel open at 14:00 and 15:00.Show more

We arranged this tour on the basis it was an guided tour, as advertised. When we arrived we were the only two and had to self-guide all the way. However all vouchers and arrangements were good and we moved from place to place easily enough. Felt the last hotel in Oslo was poor, but the Kviknes hotel in Balestrand was outstanding. Staff at the hotel in Bergen were rude and made no effort to assist.Show more

Everything was wrong. 2 out three hotels. Timing of the boat to Bergen.The English got coloured brochures about the itinerary we got nothing. Only a piece of paper saying we were staying at The Thon Opera and to meet at reception. It was in fact The Scandic Victoria. Who by the way charged us $20 to go into a room early that was ready. 20 minutes in Bergen dragging our cases over cobblestones to the Terminus hotel not the Scandic Neptun. The English were told to only take carry on luggage we were told nothing. Now in your latest itinerary I notice you have a taxi from the airport in Bergen to Oslo (wow) long way. Another mistake it goes on and on. Still shocked that something that wasn't cheap could be so wrong. Kathleen BondShow more
