We are 70 years old but in very good health... is too much adventure trip?

We currently have 4 guest booked and confirmed for the 2nd of May departure, and the age range is between the 1950-1960s. At G Adventures we have many travel styles that suit every traveller, some guest prefer just adventure and some prefer a mixture of free time and adventure and with the tour you chose which is a classic travel style it will give you abit of both.

Possibility of joining in Chiang Mai your Thailand Laos tour rather than having to fly back to BKK and start again from there.

You can join this tour in Chiang Mai if you wish, however you would miss the welcome meeting and introductions / activities in Bangkok. If you are happy to do that however, then we can arrange for you to join the group in Chiang Mai. The price would not be altered however.

I like to have Japanese speaking guide.

Unfortunately all our tours are lead and guided in English only. Your tour guide may be able to speak different languages, but the tour itself will be conducted in English only.

What does the airport transfer service cost?

The airport transfer service costs EUR 30 per person from BKK airport.

I would like to join your trip from Bangkok to Vientiane (Laos), but from Hanoi to fly back to Scotland in 12 days is that possible?

If you wanted to depart the tour early from Hanoi and forfeit the last couple of nights you can certainly do so. Kindly note there are no refunds or discounts for services not used.

May I book this tour without the Hanoi days? I have already been to Vietnam. If Hanoi itinerary can be removed, how many days would be the tour and the pricing please just for me?

Sadly our tours are not customizable and sold as per set itinerary. If you wish to depart earlier from the tour, no refunds / discounts will be offered for any services not used as part of the tour.

What are the accommodations like during the tour?

Most tours are based on twin share rooming. Exceptions for single accommodations can be made with certain conditions.

Is there an additional cost for a single supplement?

Yes, a single supplement can be added for an additional EUR 349.

Can I bring a suitcase on wheels that will weight less than 20 kilos?

We suggest that you pack as lightly as possible as your are expected to carry your own luggage. As a rule we try not to have to walk more than 15-20 minutes with your bags which is why we recommend keeping the weight of your bags between 10-15kg/22-30lb. Suitcases are not recommended for G Adventures trips! Most travellers carry a backpack or rolling bag of small to medium size (no XXL ones please!) as they need to fit under the beds when travelling on sleeper trains.

The group was fantastic and our tour leader, Pim, was both very friendly and highly knowledgeable — she created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the journey. The itinerary offered a good balance between group activities and free time, which made it easy to explore independently while still enjoying shared experiences. There are a few small areas for improvement, mainly around time management on certain days. For example, on day 7 quite a lot of time was spent at the museum and other stops — interesting but relatively small — while I would have loved more time at the Kuang Si waterfalls. Overall, a memorable trip that I would definitely recommend.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 5th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 5th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
