How long are the walks and does it have too many stairs to go up and down?

The Japan Express – Osaka to Tokyo tour is rated Physical Level 3 (Average), with quite a bit of walking throughout the trip. G Adventures advises that travellers may average around 15,000 steps per day, particularly when exploring cities and using public transport. There will also be some stairs, especially in train stations when moving between platforms, and travellers should be comfortable walking up and down stairs while carrying their luggage. Some smaller accommodations may also have stairs and no elevator. It is not a hiking tour, so there are no long, strenuous climbs as part of the main itinerary. However, if you have difficulty with stairs or extended periods of walking, this is something to consider.

Helpful and pleasant he was a source of knowledge and looked after us.Hotels were generally okay to good. The activities were interesting but perhaps have some extra pay extra such as a cooking class. Maybe explain beforehand about the luggage packing for the night and next day. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is physically fit as there is much walking.Show more
