With Valentina the tour leader she made all the difference; a true professional who is caring and considerate. I highly recommend it. By the way I went on in late September which is low season.Show more

  The trip was wonderful .We had the chance to have the most amazing guide:smart,knowlledgeble,funy,excellent organiser ,respectul ,empatic and very carrying to all of us. She is a real patriot on top of everything.The only thing that bothered me was the Hotel Maria Jose in Merinda which was very bad:no warm water,dirty,no glases or caps for drinking water ;luckely Viri changed the room and it was a bit better.All the guides had been excellent;the time was apropriatele to cover for every single special site.It was a wonderful experience for us;we will keep in touch ,all of us.Viri made us feel like a family ;I also got the surprize of my life when I celebrated 71 years old.Magnificent! Unforgetable!I just loved all this people,the knowlledge I got and the perfect guide Viri was for us.I knew things about Mexico,but this trip was ways beyond what I expected.Thank you all for it!Show more

  I have never travelled with Intrepid before. My previous 2 trips to destinations far away (Peru 2 years ago & Vietnam/Cambodia 1 year ago) were with local tour companies where both tour guide and group of travellers varied day by day. There was nothing wrong with this trip at all, but I realised that I'm not a group traveller in the sense that I want to spend lots of time with the same fellow travellers every day. My style of travelling is very independent. where I know exactly what I want to see and do throughout the trip. Going with an organised tour helps with the logistics and of course being provided with the knowledge of a tour guide. Our tour guide Karla was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable, positive, attentive and helpful at all times. The hotels we stayed in were always in a very good central location, so once we had free time we could easily explore the center of each location very easily.Show more

  Firstly, our tour guide Val was amazing, so knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and organised. The ruins we visited were amazing with so much history and intrigue; the meals we ate with local families gave an insight into the real Mexico and not just coastal resorts. Food was great but remember the food is authentic, don't expect the western version, it was so refreshing. The cities and towns we visited had a charm and warmth that match that of the locals, we never felt unsafe and enjoyed the whole experience.Show more
