  I like the places I visited. I am not happy with the Europamundo system. In 12 days we had 5 tour guides, switched busses. Sometimes luggage was moving in the bus that we did not use. On the first day, I was looking for a tour guide and she never come. I asked about 10 times. The next day they left us in the hotel, telling that they are not obligated to wait for us. We needed to catch them on taxi. In Paris the tour guide was lost the direction and we needed to walk fast 5 miles to the river excursion. Some old people were using canes and the tour guide left them behind. They also needed to take a taxi, but at the time they come to the boat station, we already left. The Europamundo attitude is terrible. I booked the English tour. However, only one tour guide (Irene) talked English, the other guides had very limited English and did not give us explanations about the places we visited. Three times the group stayed in different hotels and we stayed in France with the guide who spoke only Spanish. Regrouping everyday was so annoying.Show more

At Europamundo, we work with a system of interconnected routes that allows travelers to enjoy a wider variety of destinations and greater flexibility in terms of dates. However, we understand that this structure may feel complex when it does not fully align with each traveler’s personal preferences. Regarding the changes of guides and buses, we would like to clarify that, as stated clearly before purchasing the tour and available on our public website, these rotations are part of the planned operation and are carefully coordinated to ensure continuity of service. That said, we regret that in your case this continuity was not experienced as smoothly as intended. As for luggage being transported on another bus, this occurs when some passengers do not follow Europamundo's official baggage recommendation of one suitcase (up to 30 kg) plus a small hand luggage or backpack (without wheels) to be placed in the overhead compartment. When there is excess luggage, it cannot all fit in the same vehicle, and we must look for alternative solutions. According to our published conditions, the cost of that extra transfer should be covered by the passenger. However, we always try to avoid passing this cost to the traveler, as was done in your case—hence the decision to send the luggage via another bus. On the first day of the tour, as stated in the itinerary prior to purchase, there is no welcome meeting with the guide. The tour begins the following day, and the guide communicates the departure time via a notice board at the hotel. Our guides wait for a reasonable courtesy time; if passengers do not show up, they must assume that they prefer to rest or join later. It is the responsibility of each traveler to check the poster and be aware of the departure time. We are very sorry to hear about the experience of senior passengers during the walking segment. We fully empathize with their situation. However, our website clearly indicates that our tours can be physically demanding and that a certain level of fitness is required. It is always assumed that travelers who book the tour are aware of this and able to keep up with the group’s rhythm. The planned visits and included entries require strict scheduling, and while we understand the frustration, punctuality is essential to ensure everyone enjoys the itinerary as promised. We will nevertheless review this internally and also follow up with our partner agencies to ensure this important information is being clearly communicated before booking. Concerning the language, all our tour guides are certified with an official C1 level in English, which ensures a high standard of fluency. While it’s possible you may have expected a native English speaker, we can assure you that our guides are qualified to communicate effectively. Of course, each guide has a different communication style and areas of interest, so explanations may vary to suit different traveler profiles. We’re glad you connected well with Irene’s style, but we would like to affirm that all of our guides are equally professional and committed. Once again, we thank you for your feedback, which is extremely valuable to us, and we hope that despite the inconveniences, you were still able to enjoy the beautiful destinations included in your tour.   We did not like being shifted to different groups and different busses. Some guides did not speak clearly in English and instructions and descriptions were hard to understand. Drive times were very long and we were often in the bus 12 or more hours a day. Sightseeing or free time in cities was too short. One guide, Mariano, was excellent and did a great job explaining things and giving us history of places we visited and many other interesting bits of information. He made sure everyone understood his instructions and knew what to do,Show more

  Transport and accommodation was good. The tour was fast paced and there were some very long days. It covers a lot of ground in a relatively short time and visits many very interesting places,. The tour stared off well with pick-up and transfer of hotels as scheduled but there was no information in the tour hotel about a morning start time or where to meet so we had to phone the emergency line to get this information. We met the friendly guide and other 20 passengers (most of whom had started the tour in Madrid) and set off next morning. Things went reasonably well for the next few days but there was a general lack of quality information from the guide. A group of Spanish-speakers joined the tour in Zurich and this changed the whole concept of the tour. Quite a bit of information was given in Spanish with less in English. English speakers at times were left in the dark. This reached a crisis point in Paris where the arrangements were a shambles. Guides and buses chopped and changed and there was no clear tour leader. All guides showed a clear preference to provide information in Spanish rather than English and to almost ignore the English speakers while having long one-on-one discussions with individual Spanish passengers. When information on times and locations were given in English they were often wrong or confusing. As one English-speaking couple said, "We might as well be on our own for all the reliable information we are getting". This problem continued until the end of the tour in London with some passengers getting on the wrong bus or waiting for 45 minutes past the advised time to catch a bus which turned out to have a different guide, In summary, the tour was potentially good but many days were too long (7am to 9.30pm) and there were no organised meal breaks on some days which meant that some passengers were not eating until after 10pm with no option but to use the hotel restaurant. We feel if the majority of passengers are Spanish-speakers this tour is not suitable for English-speakers and should not be advertised as such.Show more
