The tour was supposedly supposed to include 4-star accommodations, but they were all 3-star and generally quite far from the city centers. Although it says breakfast and dinner are included, at many places they made us pay for drinks with dinner, and in the desert—despite being billed as “luxury”—it didn’t feel like it at all; plus, if you wanted air conditioning in the tents, you had to pay an extra 50€. At first, it was chaotic because we’d requested a Spanish-speaking driver, but the one who showed up at the airport only spoke English. He dropped us off in the Medina, and we had to find the riad on our own without knowing who would pick us up or what time the next day the tour would start. You travel only with a driver, and the stops he makes are at cooperatives and overly touristy places where a meal costs about €15–20 per person.Show more
