I am booking for a high school group, with 4 adults and 12 students, ages 15-18. The group is marketing the trip and I would like to know the most economical way to do the cabins. We also may need two single rooms. In addition, how does the commission structure work?

We had a wonderful week on our A Rosa Donna cruise. This was our first cruise ever, and due to historic low water levels on the Danube, it didn’t end up being the itinerary that we originally purchased. A Rosa provided us with two options - one for a cruise with an altered and still unspecified itinerary along with a generous discount, the other for a voucher to rebook the cruise within the next year and a half. We chose to keep our dates and had to wait until just days before our cruise to learn the specifics of the updated itinerary, which due to continued monitoring of river levels, had to be altered again mid-cruise. Although we were disappointed to lose destinations we had researched and looked forward to, we understood that we had chosen this option with the knowledge that this could happen. That said, we enjoyed the three towns we docked in and appreciated that we had a little more time to explore each place. The A Rosa Donna crew were very caring and went above and beyond to make sure that it would be an enjoyable, if different, week for us. Big shout-outs to Niels and Talisa for their leadership! Our first happy surprise was that our cabin had been upgraded to a higher deck with a Juliette balcony. We enjoyed the opportunity to slide open the floor to ceiling windows and let the fresh air in. The boat was clean and well-cared for by a dedicated staff, the buffet dining was tasty and abundant, and we were treated to two nights of excellent musical entertainment by an accomplished violinist from Vienna. Musical performance is something we would have liked even more of. A Rosa is a German line and the majority of passengers on our cruise were German-speaking. Announcements were made in German first, then English. For us, this was expected and enhanced the European feel of the adventure, as opposed to traveling on ships that cater mostly to Americans. We also believe this cruise line was a good value when we compared the cost of similar week-long cruises on other lines.Show more
