  My mom and I had been very happy with our tour. Maria, Cristina, Pablo and Isabel were all wonderful and very knowledgeable. They also had taken extra effort to ensure my mom, who has difficulty walking, will be safe and well taken care of.   We have taken many of these types of tours using a variety of companies beginning in 2010. This one was the most disappointing so far. To begin with, this was supposed to be English ONLY. It was not. It was a bilingual tour, which would have been fine if it’s what we signed up for and/or expected. We left too late each day in our opinion. Every other tour we took we were out the door considerably earlier and were able to fit more in. One of the most significant issues is the tour guides did not give enough suggestions/recommendations of things going on or things to do in free time.(which there was way too much of). This trip would have been a major disappointment had we not done a lot of research ahead of time and had we not asked locals each place we went for “must do/see things”. The tour guides also did a mediocre to poor job giving suggestions of food/drinks/entertainment options around the hotels. We figured it out for ourselves but some were at a loss of where to go: This tour, in comparison to all others, was by far the most unorganized. We started out with one tour guide and then were told we would have another but didn’t meet her that day. So, nobody knew who we were looking for that next morning. There was quite a bit of confusion. The bathroom stops a couple of times were NOT planned out well as the chosen stop was not able to accommodate the number of people within the short amount of time we were allotted. Some of us simply weren’t able to use the restroom. I mentioned this and was just told “oh, sorry”. The hotel in Paris was a TERRIBLE CHOICE. Our room situation was screwed up (not our fault) and yet there was an employee who literally Banged on the door AND rang the doorbell multiple times at 12:05 AM (woke us up) asking for OUR explanation as to what happened with our room. That’s something he should have asked his coworkers at the front desk. Also, breakfast was a disaster there. The hotel breakfast was offered way too late to allow everyone in the tour group time to scarf something down. Some people simply did not get the chance to eat. The hotel also ran out of breakfast one of the days. We obviously chose the trip and were aware of the itinerary but, in hindsight, it was only okay. There was definitely not enough time in Amsterdam or The Netherlands. Also, the tour should have allowed us the opportunity to go up in the Atomium rather than just step out to glance at it. If anyone else is like us, we will not ever be back there as we don’t repeat places. Too many things and places in the world to visit. The tour should include tickets to the Palace of Versailles AND the Louvre. If it’s too expensive, simply up the tour package price some. This is a better option than people scrambling to figure out buying tickets on their own. Many people weren’t aware they were responsible for their own tickets. We had ours but, again, others did not.Show more

  The tour guide AVA was amazing... so professional and thoughtful. Most helpful with all our questions. the last 2 nights in Paris we had Ryand? (spelling) and he was also very fun and helpful. We were on a bus with mostly spanish passengers, and their guide talked too much and monopolized the mic. but since I didn't know what she was saying perhaps the Spanish enjoyed her. I know some did not. the tour was great but a few things I would have like to see different.... We saw the horses and the pipe band go to buckingham Palace but not the changing of the guard even though we were right there and so close. the hotels were picked out of the city limits which made it hard to figure out the tube so we just stayed put. The London hotel was near an outlet mall so we were able to occupy some time there. the city tour was mostly a drive by so pictures were hard to get. We were dropped off a Picadilly circus and told to meat at 8 pm. That was a long time in the area - but we paid to take the hop on hop off bus tour and just rode it around. The trip to British Museum was a long line to get in and very little time to see anything - more time here would have been nice. We had a nice time in Camden a lovely town and then off to Colchester, which everything was closed so was a wasted stop. Might as well spend more time in Camden as there was so much to see. The ferry to harwick was amazing - such a large boat. We hit the ground running once in Holland and it was a nice tour. The city tour of Amsterdam was ok but the bus cant' drive on a lot of the streets. Again our freetime before the bus took us to the hotel was rushed since we had to have supper during it as well. the stop in Brussels was great and we got a good taste of this city. Ava was so helpful to tell us what to see while there. In Paris we arrived in early evening and rather then wait to be dropped off to the very end, Ava arranged an uber to take us so we didn't waste 1.5 hours dropping people off. Again the hotel was a long way from the action but the bus did show us most of the highlights on a city tour. On the 2nd day after the Eiffel tour and seine cruise we had free time but had to find our own way back to the hotel. Why??? that is just so wrong. Many people especially the seniors wouldn't have an idea how to find their way back. We were lucky and were able to find our way to Gard du Nord so we could catch the Eurostar back to Amsterdam and spent a day at the kuekenhof... on our own. It was fabulous. No major complaints other than more time and less hotels for the same group would be much better.Show more
