  The trip went to some fabulous places, and covered a good variety of places. The hotels were clean and comfortable, full of the desired amenities and well organised. We had an issue with bedding configuration which was fixed, but an option should be confirmed on twin meaning single beds. A variety of optional tours were offered on the day, more notice would be preferred so you can organise you own activities as there was minimum numbers required. Some of the hotels were located a fair distance from the main centre and with limited time an additional cost for taxis, especially Barcelona. Being a coeliac travelling the assistance with suitable foods was limited at breakfasts and the options available limited due to amount of pastries and buffet style lack of labelling. The included dinners were not suitable and is really a waste of time and not the best. A few places an option to stay in town after tours would be good instead of rushing to the hotel to check in, due to distance away like Cordoba and Granada. options to add onto tour to see more. Also advance notice to book tickets ahead for certain places would be good in booking information. A few places were mentioned in tour that weren’t actually visited, drive by on the highway past the white villages. Being only 4 English speaking on part of our tour, found lack of English guide information and more Spanish speaking. Needed to prompt for English with some of the guides. We ended up leaving tour a day early and flying back from Barcelona due to time it takes to get back to Madrid from Barcelona, this should be offered as a option when booking as it is a whole day on a bus.Show more

  The itinerary was very good. The tour took us to many interesting places. There was a mix of large and small cities and towns. The duration was very good, just long enough to explore Portugal and Spain. Our guide was a very patient and friendly person. She spoke in English and Spanish. She was very approachable and helpful. She used What’s App as a communication tool which was very helpful in knowing when breakfast was and bus departure times. More clarity in meeting times and places would have been helpful. I also thought there would be more information given about the places we saw as we travelled on the bus. That was lacking. I was finding myself doing a lot of research to learn more about each place we saw or travelled through. The organization of the tour from the time we booked it until the last day was excellent. I was able to ask questions prior to the tour and get prompt replies. The advertised tour information was pretty accurate—a few descriptions of our included tours were not always accurate. For example, the Alahambra tour did not cover all what the description said. The hotels were excellent—beyond what I expected. As well, the breakfasts and dinners included were excellent. Overall, I was very pleased with the tour.Show more

  I had signed up for a group with under 24 passengers and was under the impression that it would all be with the same coordinator, same driver and the same group of travelers. I was with 3 different coordinators, on three different buses with different drivers and with different travelers and at one time we had 51 in our group. Not at all what I had expected and I will in the future investigate the tour companies more and of course OnTheGo and VPT will never be one of my choices.Show more

  We did enjoy the trip but a few things were certainly not as expected. The tour was advertised as maximum people 24. We had up to 42 people. You advertised WIFI on all buses . No WIFI. Our hotel we were told for Barcelona was very close to town, yet we were put in a hotel about 1 hour away by train. When leaving Barcelona we stopped to pick up passengers at the hotel where we were supposed to stay, You advertise good hotel locations so should be providing what you advertise. Our first driver and tour guide were great. We then switched to Carina and couldn’t tell you the drivers name. Carina was horrible. It would have made no difference if she had done her job from home. She didn’t like you to ask questions, provided very little information and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. When looking for a tour there are certain things that we looked for, smaller group size, good location of hotels. That is what you listed but did not provide which is disappointing.Show more
