- Day 1
Barcelona

- Day 2
Barcelona - Girona
This morning you'll take a tour through Barcelona, seeing Gaudí's modernist buildings and walking along the lively Ramblas to check out Olympic and Expo landmarks. Later that afternoon, head north to Girona for an evening walking tour. There you'll see the colorful riverside houses, wander through the old Jewish quarter, and view the impressive cathedral before heading back to your accommodation.

- Day 3
Girona - Arles - Chambéry
Cross into France through Provence and stop in Arles to see the Roman theater and Romanesque churches, with time for lunch. After that, you'll head to Carrières des Lumières for an underground art experience in an ancient quarry with projected images and sound. By evening, you'll reach Chambéry, a medieval-style town with a nice historic center and castle to see before settling in for the night.

Travel into Switzerland to Geneva where a guide takes you through the Palais des Nations and the English Garden with its famous flower clock. Later, head to the charming walled village of Gruyères to taste chocolate at the Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory. Then visit Chillon Castle on Lake Geneva's shore before arriving in Leysin, a mountain village with great views of the Rhône Valley and Mont Blanc.

Start early heading to Glacier 3000 by cable car where you can walk the suspended bridge between peaks, check out the Ice Cathedral, or try the Fun Park. Stop in Interlaken for lunch and then continue to Lucerne, one of Switzerland's nicest cities. You'll reach Zurich by evening with time to walk around the center before checking into your hotel.

Continue to Como in Lombardy, known for lakeside gardens and its cathedral, with time to have lunch. Finish in Milan where your guide shows you the impressive Piazza del Duomo before you settle in at your hotel.

Rome
Start with a three-hour guided tour combining walking and a bus ride through Imperial Rome. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo before finishing at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. In the evening, get transferred to Trastevere neighborhood for dinner among its cozy restaurants and lively streets, returning to your hotel around 8:30 p.m.

Head north from Rome through beautiful landscapes and arrive in Florence. Go directly to Piazzale Michelangelo for views over the city, then walk toward the center. After lunch, join a local guide for a walking tour of Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. Spend the rest of the day exploring on your own and trying restaurants in the area for dinner.
