  Overall, we enjoyed this trip. There were plenty of things to see with a very good variety of places. Our guide Margaux was very knowledgable and always gave us a history of the places we were going to both on and off the bus. And always had recommendations for great dishes to try in each region. My only complaint would be that there needs to be stricter enforcement on tardiness. There were always a group of people that showed up back to the bus late. These people were spoken to and yet continued to be disrespectful by continually showing up late.Show more

  Tour radar and the tour guides need to communicate. Poor timing. Some days too many events on, not enough time to view things - what is the point of getting in late some where and then leaving early - you see nothing of the area. Not enough information supplied from beginning to end. Most assumed that tickets were supplied to amusements this was not the case. Who wants to see a show at 11 pm and then home by 2 am and have to get up four hours later pack and travel another 8-9 hours and sometimes see nothing. Will not be recommending - I guess you get what you pay forShow more

  Very disorganised at beginning of tour due to very little communication from tour guide. On day 2 the tour guide was over 45 minutes late arriving to pick up many passengers, and was very defensive when it was suggested she could have called the hotel and let them know, so they could pass the message on to the passengers that were all waiting. Some days were far too long and at one point we had a full bus of 64 people with two guides. The majority of the passengers for the trip were Spanish speaking and the English speaking passengers missed out on hearing about the history of the area we were in because the Spanish guide spoke for a long time, leaving the English guide with very little time. I will not travel with Europamundo again a nor recommend to others.Show more

  This itinerary was fantastic. There was a nice variety between small villages and castles. Days were long and required lots of walking but the experience was worth it. The bus was comfortable but I was disappointed that it did not have wifi. Our driver was fantastic, handling a big bus through tiny villages with narrow streets. There were many opportunities to enjoy local cuisine. There was little communication the first 2 days in Paris, and if I had to do it over, I would have stayed in Paris on my own, and joined the tour the morning it left for Normandy. The rest of the trip was fabulous.Show more

  Our first hotel, Novotel Bagolet, was in a dangerous/trashy location far from the city centre. It required a lengthy metro ride and when we asked if we could upgrade our hotel and were willing to pay extra, we were told no. We had to request towels, toilet paper and trash removal every day. NONE of the excursions were offered. No Louvve, NO Moulin Rouge, NO dinner river Seine trip. In fact, we were dropped off in front of the Louvve and after the bus left, we found ourselves stranded, AS THE LOUVVE WAS ACTUALLY CLOSED. THE GUIDE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THE SCHEDULE. SO WE NEVER WERE ABLE TO VISIT THE MUSEUM. INEXCUSABLE. Every day was RUSHED. Two many stops crammed in so we couldn't actually enjoy the sites. We were not allowed enough time to visit the towns and actually had to leave several meals without having dessert (which we paid for) because the guide required us to return to the bus. TOO many cathedrals, castles and chateaus. After seeing two of each, which would have been fine, we were forced to visit even more rather than having time in town. We asked the guide if we could adjust the itinerary (and we were not alone) and we were told no. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. to our last city and had no time to visit it. The next morning we were taken to a wine museum which required at least a two hour visit and we were given only one hour to visit. We had to run, literally run, to make our train on time to leave for Paris. Will NEVER travel with Europamundo again.Show more

  Tour not as represented in literature. Hotel in Paris horrible, at farthest end of Metro in unsafe neighborhood, requiring multiple, long Metro rides to do anything. Way too many chateaus and castles. Not enough time to see the towns, shop and get away from tourist high prices. Venues not accessible for many people - with no forewarning. Missed seeing The Louvre because schedule was changed without our being notified, and it was closed on Tuesdays, the only days that were available to us. Wanted more "human history" information - not statistics about chateaus. Days were too long - 8:00 to usually 8:30 at night - with too little time for lunch and exploration.Show more
