Munich to Veneto
You'll arrive in Munich by late morning and meet the group around 11 a.m. The coach then heads south through the Alps, and you'll reach your hotel in Veneto by evening. Dinner together gives you a chance to meet your fellow travelers.

Castelfranco - Maser - Prosecco Hills
Start with a walk through medieval Castelfranco to see the walled center and cathedral, where you can view Giorgione's altarpiece. From there, head to Villa Barbaro in Maser to check out Paolo Veronese's frescoes and wander the park with its fountains and statues. Later, travel to the Prosecco Road in the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills for a tasting while you take in the steep vineyard slopes.

Vicenza - Padua
You have the option to relax at your hotel or join an excursion to Vicenza. If you go, you'll see Piazza dei Signori and Teatro Olimpico designed by Palladio in 1580, plus the Basilica Palladiana and Renaissance palaces. Then travel to Villa Valmarana ai Nani for Tiepolo family frescoes. After that, head to Padua to explore the Cappella degli Scrovegni with Giotto's frescoes and walk through the historic squares.

San Daniele del Friuli - Udine - Trieste
Travel from Castelfranco to San Daniele del Friuli, known for its air-dried ham. You'll visit a Prosciutteria to taste the prosciutto. Then continue to Udine to explore Piazza della Liberta with its palaces and see the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata. By evening you'll arrive in Trieste.

Your guided tour starts at the small harbor, where you'll see why locals call Trieste 'Vienna on the Adriatic.' Walk along the waterfront with its grand facades and baroque buildings like S. Maria Maggiore church, and check out Palazzo Carciotti and Piazza dell'Unita d'Italia. In the afternoon, climb Capitoline Hill to the Cathedral of San Giusto for panoramic views. The rest of the day is yours to explore, visit a coffee house, or see the railroad museum.

Trieste - Skocjan Caves - Lipica (Optional)
Spend the day relaxing in Trieste or join an optional excursion to Slovenia. If you go, you'll see the Skocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the country's most important underground natural phenomenon. Then travel to Lipica to tour the stud farm where Lipizzaner horses are bred, the same breed used in Vienna's Spanish Riding School. Return to Trieste to unwind with ice cream or espresso.

Palmanova - Aquileia - Grado
After breakfast, visit Palmanova, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to learn about its unique nine-pointed star shape. Continue to Aquileia to see Romanesque-Gothic buildings and magnificent mosaics in the churches, and try some local chocolate. Later, head to the coast at Grado, Venice's smaller cousin, to explore the Cathedral of St. Eufemia and wander the small streets and squares. A two-hour boat tour through the Grado lagoon shows you fishermen's cottages and oriental canals. Finish with dinner together in the old town.
