Lago di Braies
You'll arrive at your hotel in the Grüntal valley and get settled in for the week. After parking your vehicle in the hotel lot, head out on your first walk to get oriented to the surrounding landscape. This gives you a chance to walk around and see what's nearby before starting the serious hiking.

- Day 2
Fodara
This morning you'll hike around Lago di Braies and then climb to Croda del Becco Pass at 2388m. From there, you'll walk through alpine meadows where you might spot chamois and wildflowers. By afternoon, you'll reach Rifugio Sennes and then descend to the small alpine village of Fodara, which sits right on the edge of an impressive cirque.

Scotoni Refuge
You'll descend to Peder Refuge and then climb to Fanes Refuge. The route takes you across several alpine passes including Limo Pass and Tadega Pass while you traverse the large Alpe di Fanes plateau, surrounded by dramatic peaks. By the end of the day, you'll climb to Scotoni Refuge, which sits in a scenic location.

Cinque Torri
You have two hiking options today, each taking 5-6 hours. Option 1 includes a cable car descent and reaches Rifugio Scoiattoli. Option 2, which is recommended, offers a longer and more scenic traverse with higher passes including Passo Averau. This second route gives you views of the dramatic Cinque Torri peaks.

- Option 2 (recommended): Climb to Passo Lagazuoi (2573m), continue to Forcela de Travenanzes (2507m), descend to Passo Falzarego (2015m), climb to Passo Averau (2435m), reach Cinque Torri (5-6 hours, +970m, -700m)

- Day 5
Lake Misurina
You'll descend from Cinque Torri to Cortina d'Ampezzo, which takes about 3 hours of hiking. Once there, you'll transfer by regular bus service from Cortina to Lake Misurina at 1751m, which is roughly 15km away. This gets you to your location for the next stage of hiking.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo
This is one of the Dolomites' most iconic stages where you'll hike among dramatic limestone needles and peaks. You'll cross below the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and pass through an extraordinary passage between the Tre Cime and Monte Paterno, then reach Locatelli Refuge with views of the north face. There's an optional extension for experienced hikers that circles Monte Paterno via scenic high passes.

Lago di Braies
On your final day, you have two route options to return to Lago di Braies. Option 1 is a direct descent through Schmieden Valley. Option 2, which works for experienced hikers without fear of heights, is a longer and more scenic route using trail no. 3 that circles Croda Rossa through alpine meadows and scree fields with a short secured section.
