Beautiful hikes, food, well organized
Hiking in the DolomitesThe Dolomites tour was well planned with some flexibility and exceeded our expectations. Accomodation was well chosen and met our needs. All breakfasts at all locations exceptional. The bilingual differences in commentary and instructions was difficult and at times left us frustrated. Perhaps modern technology headsets could overcome this. Our driver was exceptional in his driving and worked well with the team leader. They made us feel safe. Meeting points need to be pre-planned for different conditions eg shade for heat, shelter for rain. The guided walking tour was disappointing in its delivery.

The bike path from Merano to Lake Garda follows old wine roads past orchards in bloom and authentic South Tyrolean villages. If walking's more your style, the trails around Dobbiaco become accessible bit by bit as spring moves along, starting with lower routes like the Lake Braies loop and valleys dotted with Alpine blooms.
