You'll arrive at Amsterdam airport and get transferred to Zaandam, where you'll board the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. After getting settled into your cabin, meet the other guests and have a welcome dinner on board this evening.

Zaandam
This morning you'll take a guided tour through Zaanse Schans, an open-museum that recreates an 18th-century Dutch village. Walk through the windmills and wooden houses to learn how the area helped drive the Netherlands into industrial power through cheese-making, wooden clog-carving, and other historic manufacturing.

Netherlands
You get to choose how to spend your day. Either join a guided tour of the Delta Works to see the modern flood defence system and centuries of Dutch water management, or take an EmeraldACTIVE guided e-bike tour through Veere, a charming town with history and a nice marina.

Willemstad to Dordrecht
Start with free time in historic Willemstad to walk around the well-preserved fortifications and quiet streets, and optionally join an e-bike tour if you'd like. Later in the afternoon, head to Dordrecht, the oldest city in the Netherlands, for a canal tour through what locals call the 'Venice of Holland' with its historic warehouses and gabled houses.

You'll tour Rotterdam's floating farm in Merwehaven Harbour, the world's first of its kind, established in 2019. On this included tour, learn how the farm operates as a circular food system using eco-technology and water-resilient design while producing milk and dairy from about 40 resident cows.
