- Day 1
Departure to Windhoek
Your flight to Windhoek takes off today. Settle in for the journey and let your mind wander to what's coming - the desert landscape, wildlife encounters, and all those moments you've been planning for. Namibia is waiting for you.
- Day 2
Windhoek to Kalahari Desert
After landing in Windhoek, you'll pick up your rental car at the airport and head out toward the Kalahari. The drive takes you through red dunes under golden light until you reach your glamping tent. Once you're settled, spend some time by the pool, then make your way to the highest dune for sunset with the sky full of stars above.

Kalahari Desert
Early morning brings golden light and silence across the desert. You can either grab a map from reception and walk through the endless landscape on your own, or relax by the pool and watch for oryx antelopes. By evening, head to the veranda for drinks as the sun drops over the desert.

Landmarks Kalahari Desert - Day 4
Kalahari to Namib Desert
Start before dawn to catch sunrise in the Kalahari, then drive through Tsaris Pass while keeping an eye out for wildlife. The landscape shifts as you enter Namib-Naukluft Park. By midday you'll arrive at your glamping spot ringed by fiery red dunes, with Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei just nearby. Spend the evening around the campfire or bar under the stars.

- Day 5
Sossusvlei and Deadvlei
Leave early to reach Sossusvlei for sunrise in Namib-Naukluft National Park. Hike up Big Daddy dune, then explore the white salt pan and ancient camel thorn trees at Deadvlei. The contrast between orange dunes and white pan creates a natural landscape you won't forget.

- Day 6
Namib Desert to Swakopmund
After leaving the desert, drive through Gaub and Kuiseb gorges toward the coast. Stop at Walvis Bay to photograph pink flamingos in the lagoon, then continue to Swakopmund. This coastal town mixes German colonial buildings with African scenery. Wander through the old town and try local treats like Black Forest gateau at a cafe.

Swakopmund
The morning brings fresh sea air in Swakopmund. You can visit the museum to learn about Namibia's history if you'd like, or photograph the red and white lighthouse. Spend afternoon hours on the beach, then head to the historic German pier for a sunset drink over the Atlantic.

Swakopmund to Etosha National Park
Drive through changing landscapes on your way to Etosha National Park. Once inside, take your time watching for movement everywhere - elephants at waterholes, zebras, lions, giraffes, leopards. The safari unfolds like a nature documentary right before you.

Etosha National Park
Back in Etosha for another day of safari. Explore the Etosha Pan and its large waterholes that draw the big animals. Park and watch herds of elephants arrive to bathe. Head to remote areas of the park where you'll see fewer tourists and get authentic wildlife viewing.

Etosha National Park
Early morning game drives take you to Okondeka waterhole on the western edge of the pan, where lions often gather during their morning territory-marking. Explore hidden pockets of the park and find the wild spaces that make Etosha one of Africa's best safari destinations.

Namibia to South Africa (Etosha to Stellenbosch)
Return your rental car at the Windhoek airport and board your flight to Cape Town. Once you land, pick up a new rental car and drive to Stellenbosch in the Winelands, which is just over thirty minutes away. Head to Warwick Wine Estate for tasting and views of the vineyards.

- Day 12
Stellenbosch to Mossel Bay
Drive the Garden Route with windows down and music playing. Stop at Wilderness National Park to hike or canoe through rock formations, reflective lakes, waterfalls, and natural pools. Continue to Mossel Bay where white sand beaches let you relax, surf, or hike to Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse for coastal views and chances to see whales or dolphins.

Mossel Bay to Plettenberg Bay
Drive the Garden Route again, passing through Wilderness National Park to see its rock formations, lakes, waterfalls, and pools. Then continue to Plettenberg Bay where fine sand and turquoise water create a relaxed paradise. Walk barefoot along Lookout Beach listening to the waves, then explore where the lagoon meets the river.

- Day 15
Plettenberg Bay
Create your own day in Plettenberg Bay. Relax on white sand or head to Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking. Three trails are available - The Gap, Witsand, and The Point - all with cliff scenery and wild waves. Look for a seal colony and keep eyes out for dolphins and whales.

Plettenberg Bay to Oudtshoorn
Drive through landscapes with curves and views that keep changing - plains, mountains, dramatic light everywhere. Arrive in Oudtshoorn and settle into your glamping tent on an ostrich farm surrounded by nature. Order a braai basket from reception with fresh vegetables, bread, and quality local meat, then eat by the fire pit as the sun sets.

Oudtshoorn
Spend the day exploring the nature around you. Visit the ostrich farm at AfriCamp with a guided tour and learn about rearing - you might even help with hatching chicks. Learn facts about ostrich eggs and their strength. Later, join an afternoon safari in the Little Karoo game reserve covering over 5000 hectares to spot antelopes and giraffes.

Oudtshoorn to Swellendam
Early on, you can visit a meerkat family at their caves with a guide before continuing your drive. Arrive in Swellendam and head to Marloth Nature Reserve to hike through dense forests past hidden waterfalls and natural pools. Watch the treetops for rare birds and other wildlife.

Swellendam to Cape Town
Continue driving with windows down and your playlist on. Roll into Hermanus, a small coastal town with relaxed vibes and cool cafes. Grab binoculars and watch from the cliffs for whales between June and December. Later, drive to Cape Town and take a sunset stroll at the V&A Waterfront with street performers, shops, and Table Mountain always in view.

Cape Town to Cape Point
Get in your rental car and explore Cape Town's iconic spots. Visit Boulders Beach for turquoise water and a penguin colony among granite rocks. Head to Cape Point where you can hike or take a small cog railroad up steep terrain to the highest cliff. From the viewing platform, see False Bay, Diaz Beach, and the Cape of Good Hope.

Cape Town
Start with coffee to go and walk through downtown Cape Town on Long Street, checking out boutiques and shops. Stop at the pink Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel for photos. Take a gondola up Table Mountain for incredible views of the skyline, sea, and Lion's Head. Below, choose between Camps Bay Beach or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for the rest of your day.

- Day 22
Cape Town
Explore Woodstock, Cape Town's hipster district, which has transformed from rough to vibrant with hip cafes, unusual restaurants, unique boutiques, and artist studios in converted warehouses. Colorful graffiti covers many buildings. As the sun sets, head to Signal Hill for views of Table Mountain, Robben Island, Bo Kaap, and the Waterfront with a drink in hand.

Departure from Cape Town
Pack everything up and drive to the airport in your rental car. Reflect on the road trip you've created across Namibia and South Africa. Return your car keys and make your way through the airport for your flight home.

You're back home now after your adventure. During your flight, you reflect on everything you saw and did across Namibia and South Africa. The experiences you had will stay with you.
