Johannesburg to Pilanesberg National Park
Your safari starts with an early pickup from Johannesburg, then it's a scenic drive out to Pilanesberg National Park. Once you arrive, you'll head straight into your first game drive where elephants, giraffes, and lions are all possible sightings. After checking in at Sundown Country Estate, grab lunch and take some time to settle in before heading back out for a sunset game drive. Dinner and relaxation at the lodge wrap up your first day.

Pilanesberg National Park
Start early with a guided morning game drive, which is when predators are most active and your chances of seeing action are highest. Back at the lodge you'll have breakfast, then free time to relax by the pool or walk around the estate if you prefer. After lunch, you're out again for a second game drive with another chance to spot the Big Five. Finish the day with dinner and some downtime.

Pilanesberg National Park
Following breakfast, you'll spend the full day exploring Pilanesberg National Park with your guide and a packed lunch. You'll move deeper into the reserve across grassy plains and rocky outcrops, giving you extended time to watch for different wildlife. The varied terrain means lots of opportunities to see diverse animals throughout the day. Later in the afternoon you'll head back to Sundown Country Estate for dinner and to rest up.
