Itinerary

Day 1
Lake Natron
Start early and head to Lake Natron to see the flamingos and other wildlife in this unique salty ecosystem. The lake's bright pink color comes from algae and the sheer number of birds gathered here. You'll walk around the shoreline and get good views for photography. Later in the afternoon, if you're up for something challenging, there's an optional night climb of Oldoinyo Lengai volcano, which sits nearby at about 9,700 feet. The climb takes most of the evening and you'll reach the summit around sunrise to see the glow from the crater. Back at the campsite by morning, you'll spend the night under the stars.

This tour was simply amazing. I was nervous at having to climb Kili as someone who although loves hiking, has never been higher than Cusco, Peru. The altitude made me fear the climb but everyone responsible for organising the trip including John himself, made me feel at ease..he reassured me that he has done this many times. That we will go "pole pole" and thus combat some potential altidude sickness. So I highly recommend going with John group/company for the constant reassurance. Thank you guys

Payment information
- For any tour departing before March 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Johnadventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Johnadventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
