  My "8 Days Tour: Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Puno – Includes Domestic Flights & Vistadome Train" with Waman Adventures was but excellent! All of our guides including Mario, Daniel, and Manuel were treasures of information and helpful. Yeny, our guide in Cusco and that area went above and beyond the call. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about Cusco city, the area's archeological sites, and Machu Pichu but she was extremely kind and helpful. She made us all feel like friends and not just clients. I'm 73 and was sick before I left home. So, whenever I needed some extra help hiking up and down Machu Pichu and the archeological areas, Yeny was always there to help. I didn't even have to ask for her assistance. She just jumped in. I will never forget my tour to Peru and I hope to stay in touch with dear Yeny. Date of experience: September 2026Show more

  The itinerary was a great mix of sites to see albeit rushed. Expect early-morning wakeups, but totally worth it. You won't be with the same group of people or have the same guide throughout the entirety of the trip, which can be tough. Some of the communication could've been better and more timely, but everything went as planned. Highlights included the full-day tour of Paracas, Ica and Huacachina. Bad weather made Machu Picchu a literal washout, especially with the timed circuits not allowing you to explore other areas to adjust. If you have limited time in Perú like I did, this is a good tour to experience.Show more

He is very displeased with the organization, having the itineraries for the following day sent late the night before and a driver that picked him up to take him to the other side of town arriving half an hour late, saying there was traffic (at 5am!) and the agency not apologizing until next day. Every tour should be a copy-paste, people expect to know ahead what next day looks like, mostly when having to get up at 4am to comply with the schedule. Also, messages sent to each passenger were different, making them feel insecure about the information they were receiving.Show more

First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience your client experienced. We completely understand how important punctuality and clear communication are, especially when tours begin very early in the morning. I would like to provide a little more context regarding what happened. The delay occurred on July 2 during the pick-up for the Route of the Sun tour. Our driver, Mr. Dany, encountered unexpected traffic very close to the hotel, which unfortunately delayed the pick-up. Although traffic at that hour is quite unusual, it was an unforeseen situation. We fully understand that this affected your client's experience, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience. Later that same day, we also sent our sincere apologies and contacted your client again to check how everything was going and whether there was anything else we could do to assist. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response. I would also like to clarify our communication process. The messages we send each afternoon are not intended to replace or modify the itinerary. Their purpose is simply to serve as operational reminders and provide useful recommendations to help travelers prepare for the following day's activity. The complete itinerary is shared before the trip begins, and approximately 15 days prior to departure we also send a detailed pre-departure email containing the itinerary, estimated pick-up times, recommendations, and important travel information. The pick-up times included in this document are always approximate and may vary by only a few minutes depending on the day's operations. For example, for the Lima City Tour, we reminded your client about the pick-up window and recommended bringing sunscreen, water, and comfortable clothing. Before the Paracas, Ica & Huacachina excursion, we provided recommendations regarding warm clothing for the boat tour, suggested requesting a boxed breakfast from the hotel, and shared useful tips for the day. Upon arrival in Cusco, we also sent detailed airport arrival instructions, explained exactly where to meet our driver, and even shared a photo of our transfer assistant so your client could identify him easily. In short, these messages are intended as helpful reminders and operational guidance rather than a replacement for the itinerary. Our goal is always to keep travelers informed, prepared, and supported throughout their journey. Please rest assured that it was never our intention to overlook the situation or avoid taking responsibility. On the contrary, whenever an unexpected situation arises, our team makes every effort to respond immediately, keep our travelers informed, and provide assistance throughout their trip.   This tour covers a lot of ground in a relatively short time, but Waman Adventures does an outstanding job with the logistics. Every time they told us a driver or guide would meet us at a certain time or place they were spot on. Unfortunately I got sick on our last full day, and without us even asking Waman made arrangements for us to get a later flight back to Lima. This was a real blessing that gave me more time to get my stomach back in order before our long flight home. Thank you Waman we greatly appreciated all you did for us.Show more

  All the tour guides were professional and experienced. They were very friendly. Especially my tour guide Julio Cesar who accompanied me for my last two days trip from Cusco to Machu Picchu and back. He knows the Inca history very well. He explained to me the brief history about how Inca empire was conquered by Spanish conquerors and how Machu Picchu site was rediscovered. I am so glad that I made a right decision of climbing the Machu Picchu mountain. Julio’s encouragement energized me climbing to the top. The views from the mountain top on the Machu Picchu Citadel were breathtaking . Along with the tour guides, all the drivers who picking me up and sending me from or to a hotel or a tour point were also provided great services. Even though due to my flight delay, I couldn’t find a driver holding my name sign on arriving at the Lima airport, but once I made a WhatsApp call, the problem was solved right away. Besides the tour itself, the hotels were also very well picked, especially the locations of the hotels which were always near the city center. Among them, the hotels in Puno and Cusco were the best, not only the location but the room amenities provided. I have to point out that due to my trip order was reversed because of sold out tickets to Machu Picchu for the original planned date, I was transferred from Lima directly to Puno that is the highest altitude among all of my tour stays. Due to sudden high altitude changes, I was sick upon arrival at Puno. Despite this glitch, I had still enjoyed my trip.Show more

The visit to see the thousands of colonies of sea lions at the Palomino Islands was absolutely amazing. The sand dune buggy ride was exhilarating. The visit to Cusco was unique and different.
