Some were professional guides and some were very bad guides. We had a guide that pick up a hitchhiker! The hotels were poor quality. Mama Sara Hotel messed up our booking. They overbooked and gave my friend’s room away. So, they had to book another hotel down the street for her. And she was alone. I would not book another tour with this company and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We were updated daily on agenda, how to prepare etc. In summary, Peru express trip was amazing to gain express experience of Peru culture.

My trip to Lima and Cusco was one of those that will stay in your memory forever.

In Lima I really enjoyed walking around Miraflores, watching the sunset in front of the sea and tasting the Peruvian food (the ceviche is another level!). The city has a cool mix of modern and traditional, and there is always something to do.
One of the most fun moments was when I went to the Huacachina desert and went sandboarding.
At the beginning I was a little nervous to climb the dunes, but when I jumped on the board it was pure adrenaline. I ended up full of sand, laughing and wanting to do it again. Also, the buggy ride through the desert was incredible, especially at sunset.
Then in Cusco the atmosphere changes completely. You can feel the history in every street, the energy of the Andes is special and the landscapes are breathtaking. Walking around the city and learning more about its culture was something I really enjoyed.
It was a super complete trip: good food, adventure, beautiful landscapes and a lot of culture. I would definitely come back again.

The guides were awesome , super friendly, fun, and they explained everything in a way that made the whole experience even better. And the food… wow! I tried new dishes and completely fell in love with Peruvian food. The pollo a la brasa was so good that I’d come back just to eat it again.
I’m really happy with how everything turned out. The trip was unforgettable, and I’d love to return someday. Thanks for making it such a great experience!

We began in Lima, where I tasted a ceviche I will honestly never forget. Walking through the historic center at sunset felt like stepping back in time. Then we flew to Cusco, and the thrill of seeing the Andes mountains for the first time was simply indescribable.
In the Sacred Valley, we met local artisans who welcomed us with smiles and vibrant colors. In Ollantaytambo, it felt as though every stone had its own story to tell. But the most unforgettable moment was arriving at Machu Picchu—slowly climbing and suddenly seeing the sacred city appear before my eyes… it’s a moment I will treasure forever.
We spent our last days in Cusco, wandering cobblestone streets, exploring markets filled with aromas and colors, and relaxing in plazas that made you want to stay for hours. There was time to learn, to laugh, to try new flavors, and to feel the special energy of this country.
It was more than just a trip,it was 8 days of discovery, connection, and memories I’ll carry with me for a lifetime.

From airport pick up upon my arrival in Lima, Peru at around midnight to the daily tours and activities, to train and plane tickets, Waman, especially Luz, arranged everything for me. All the tour guides were very knowledgeable and helped me maximize my time in Peru. All the hotels were clean and spacious. The hotel in Cusco was not very central but the staff at Ayni Hotel were amazing and very helpful. There were no unexpected expenses. Waman Adventures communicated everything in advance with me so I know what to expect everyday. This company is highly recommended.

A couple of days in and around Lima and then 4/5 days at altitude in Cusco and Machju Picchu. The tour was well organized and took us to the highlights as well as off-the-beaten path experiences. We enjoyed the fact that other than breakfast we had the opportunity to explore the cuisine which was always wonderful. The hotels that were included were very good for the price and value - always clean, comfortable and in "safe" surroundings. It was a great experience and worth it in every sense of the word.

My experience on the Inka Jungle tour was amazing. From the start, I requested support with pre-accommodation, and they were more than happy to assist, making our arrival much more comfortable. Additionally, the start times weren't too early, which was very important to me since I don't like waking up too early and I truly value being able to enjoy my sleep.
One of the most exciting activities during the tour was the zipline, which gave us pure adrenaline and became one of the most memorable moments of the trip. I also really appreciated that our guide, Sinore, was always attentive to our comments and needs. Moreover, he was in constant contact with us, offering helpful advice that made the experience even more enjoyable.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an experience filled with excitement, nature, and great company. It’s also perfect for those who appreciate a little extra rest in the morning before the adventure begins. An experience I will never forget!

Then all the way through to the last drop off back at the airport, I have never experienced such an exceptional tour company. The highlight of my experience was my tour guide, Papa Freddy. His passion for what he does and what he knows made everything exciting and a memory of a lifetime. There’s no price tag on that. I was also sick with a chest cold on top of altitude sickness and Freddy did everything to accommodate my needs. I can’t imagine the experience having been any more perfect without Freddy looking out for me the whole time. I am forever grateful. He is a major asset to your company. Thank you for a first class experience from the beautiful hotel rooms, to the clean and comfy vans, to the ease of the excursions, to the friendly staff, and again for putting Papa Freddy as my tour guide (and Wilbur for Rainbow Mountain). The trail itself was challenging but incredibly rewarding, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes—majestic mountains, lush valleys, and mystical cloud forests that felt like stepping into a dream. Each campsite was well-prepared, with delicious meals and a warm atmosphere created by the team, who were always attentive to our needs.
Reaching the Sun Gate and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time was a magical moment, the perfect culmination of this epic adventure. This tour is much more than a hike; it’s an immersion into Peru’s rich history and natural beauty. Although jam-packed, this was overall a great tour and a convenient way to see all that Peru had to offer! I would recommend it if you’re already traveling with others, but would be weary if you’re a …Although jam-packed, this was overall a great tour and a convenient way to see all that Peru had to offer! I would recommend it if you’re already traveling with others, but would be weary if you’re a solo traveler since the group of people that you’re with as well as the tour guide varies everyday. The longest we had the same guide was for days 4 and 5, where Herlin traveled to aguas calientes with my group and then gave us a private Machu Picchu tour. He was helpful with logistics and informative about the history! The guides for humantay lake and rainbow mountain, Freddy and JC, were also informative and helpful with solutions for altitude sickness.
Speaking of altitude sickness, if you’re considering hiking on the Machu Picchu day you should beware that Machu Picchu mountain is actually longer and steeper than huayna Picchu despite the description for this addition seemingly saying otherwise. We found ourselves exhausted after hiking it within a 4hr time limit, so I’m not sure that I’d recommend the addition considering that the next two days also have strenuous hikes at high altitudes. In hindsight, I’d have saved my energy for the following two days. For day 3, I’d recommend requesting an earlier flight so that you can spend the rest of the day in Cusco acclimating (something we didn’t get to do since we landed later). Lastly, for day 10, I’d consider checking with waman adventures to see what your domestic flight time options are before booking the international flight (we blindly followed the after 19:00 recommendation and ended up having an unnecessarily long ~8hr layover). With all our questions and concerns, the company was quick with responding when we messaged both before and after booking.
Overall, I think this tour was well organized and worth the somewhat marked up price tag due to the convenience of having everything planned out for you. Thanks for a great trip!

Overall this 10 day trip was really enjoyable and so worth it! That being said there are a few things that I think need more clarification in the description for the trip. That being said there are a few things that I think need more clarification in the description for the trip. The wake up calls were earlier than specified, and as some other reviews note, about half of the days are 3am wake up calls. Something else to note is that the tour group changes day to day. My friends and I booked together so we were all together doing the same activities everyday but besides that the group changed day to day, instead of being in a big group that was together for the duration of the 10 days. Same with the tour guides. Depending on the activity/day, the tour guide was different everyday. They were all great tour guides but something to note. The longest we had the same tour guide was for 2 days (Machu Picchu). The accommodations were nice, especially the one in Cusco. I think the flights could have been handled better, as we ended up waiting in the airport to return home for 8 hours because the flight to Lima was an afternoon flight so we could not book an earlier flight back to our home destination. Also with the flights, I wished we would have been told earlier if we had the option to change the domestic flights in Peru, since we didn’t get a full day in Cusco which would have been nice. As far as communication goes the company was quick to respond to any questions me or my friends had both before and during the trip. We were told the next days plan everyday which was helpful since the full run down and suggestions for what to pack were included. One note on this is we wished these communications had been sent earlier on the days prior since we were usually getting these notes in the afternoon/evening and it would have been better for planning free time to have the plan earlier in the morning. All the activities were unforgettable experiences and accommodating. Some of the hiking was more difficult but for the lake day and the rainbow mountain day horses were available which was a nice option to have for those who were unable to do the hikes. On the hiking days where there was no plan after I do wish we were allowed more time for hiking since I personally felt the time constraint limited my ability to hike which I would have liked, but having the accommodation to still see the sights was nice. My friends and I also decided to do the Machu Picchu mountain hike, which I only got halfway through before turning around for difficulty. Definitely do your research for the hikes so you are prepared for what to expect. The description for that hike was that it was easier than the other option but it surely was not from what we were told by others afterwards. I think this trip was a great way to see beautiful parts of Peru and learn more about the history/culture. The tour guides also were very knowledgeable and made things easier since they took care of a lot of the details, and were always willing to answer any questions we had. As I mentioned in the first line, overall this trip was so well worth it and the duration was pretty perfect. A rest day in between the three intense hiking days (Machu Picchu (which was optional), Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain) would have been nice but seeing all these beautiful sights made it all worth it in the end. If you are looking for a trip to see Peru, I would recommend this one!

The guides on our excursions were fantastic. One guide in particular stood out for us papá Freddy, was exceptionally attentive to our needs and adapted his pace to ours.
He was able to answer all our questions.
He even had the thoughtfulness to order me a festive cake and singers for dinner after our visit to Machu Pichu, as it was my birthday.

Cusco is a city that breathes Inca history and culture. Mario our guide was the best, he immersed us in the legends of Machu Picchu as we walked the cobblestone streets. The excitement grew when we arrived at Machu Picchu's Puerta del Sol at dawn, a view that exceeded all expectations.
The Sacred Valley welcomed us with its imposing landscapes and towns full of color. The visits to Pisac and Ollantaytambo were enriching, full of detailed explanations about daily life and traditions that endure to this day.
The attention to detail was exceptional, every aspect was carefully considered even our dietary restriction. I am a celiac person.
In short my experience with Waman Adventures in Peru was more than just a trip; It was a deep immersion in the cultural and natural wealth of this extraordinary country. I highly recommend this adventure to any traveler looking to explore Peru in an authentic and meaningful way.
