    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

On the last day of the tour, the domestic flight from Juliaca to Lima is usually scheduled around midday, arriving in Lima approximately around 1:30–2:00 PM. To travel comfortably and avoid any stress, we normally recommend booking international flights departing Lima at 07:00 PM.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, that's correct. The entrance ticket to Machu Picchu Citadel is already included in your tour. You may also add the Machu Picchu Mountain hike as an optional activity, and it can be booked only for the participants who wish to do it (it does not need to be for the whole group). The fitness level required is moderate to good, as the hike takes approximately 2–3 hours round trip and reaches a higher altitude. The path is safe but involves continuous uphill walking. Teenagers and active travelers usually enjoy it very much.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

The Vistadome is a different train category, for your reference. The standard train has regular windows, while the Vistadome train has large panoramic windows on the sides and partially on the roof, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley during the journey. It's a very scenic and comfortable upgrade that many travelers love.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

You are correct that most dinners are not included in order to give travelers flexibility to explore local restaurants. In general, we recommend budgeting approximately USD 15–25 per person per dinner depending on the restaurant you choose. Cusco and Lima have many great dining options.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, June is part of the dry season in the Andes, which means beautiful clear days but cooler temperatures, especially in the mornings and evenings. Here are some recommended items to bring: Warm jacket (especially for mornings and evenings), Layers (t-shirts + fleece), Comfortable hiking pants, Good walking or hiking shoes, Hat for sun protection, Light gloves and scarf (optional but useful in the early mornings), Sunscreen and sunglasses, Small backpack for daily tours, Reusable water bottle. During the day the temperature is usually pleasant and sunny, but nights can be cold in Cusco and the highlands.

Regarding the money, is there a place to withdraw it, or is it only at the airport?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, if you choose to reserve starting on March 15, you will be traveling with a group of 9 other travelers. They will be joining the Inca Adventures tour.

Another available option is March 18, where 2 travelers have already booked the tour.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Regarding currency exchange, you will be able to exchange money at the airport if needed. However, we usually recommend exchanging money at authorized exchange houses in the city, as they generally offer better exchange rates than the airport or banks.

For your reference, the current exchange rate is approximately 3.465 Peruvian soles per 1 USD (this may vary slightly depending on the location).

Exchange houses are very common and safe in Lima and Cusco, especially in tourist areas, so it will be easy to change money during your trip.

    Asked on March 10th, 2026

when trying to book I saw the optional add-ons. One of them was: COMPLETELY OPTIONAL - HUAYNAPICCHU MOUNTAIN OR MACHUPICCCHU MOUNTAIN. My question is, what is this for? Is it admission to machupicchu? There was no description on what this optional selection was for

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

This extra refers to the optional hike to either Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain. Please note that your trip already includes the entrance ticket to the Machu Picchu citadel, so you will still be able to visit and explore Machu Picchu with your guide even if you do not select this extra. This add-on is completely optional. On day 5, you will first visit the Machu Picchu citadel with the ticket already included in your tour, together with your guide. After the guided visit, travelers who added the mountain extra can proceed to ascend the mountain (Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain). Those who do not add the mountain hike will simply return to Aguas Calientes with the guide, so there is no problem if you prefer not to include this option.

    Asked on March 4th, 2026

Can you guarantee entry to Machu Picchu on Circuit 2 (Route A or B)?

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten March 2026

Unfortunately, tickets for Circuit 2 in both versions A and B for the month of March and April were completely sold out since January. Availability is the same for all agencies, so no agency can guarantee, reserve, or hold a Circuit 2 ticket once it is sold out in the official system. As a final option, you may try purchasing tickets directly in Aguas Calientes, where a limited number of last-minute tickets are sold in person.

    Asked on February 24th, 2026

Is the end of Sept to Oct a good time to go, less bugs and no rain? When you pay extra for machu-picchu or the huaynapicchn do you get more time?

    Other
    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2026

Late September is one of the best times to visit Machu Picchu. You'll enjoy mostly sunny days, very little rain, fewer crowds than June–August, and comfortable temperatures. Regarding bugs — in Cusco and Machu Picchu there are very few. Only in Aguas Calientes you might notice a couple of mosquitoes, but nothing extreme at all.

If you choose the standard visit to Machu Picchu, your guided tour inside the citadel lasts approximately 2 hours, following the official circuit assigned with your ticket.

Participants who do not add Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain will return earlier to Aguas Calientes, where they can relax, explore the town, enjoy lunch, or visit the local market before boarding the train back.

If you decide to add Huayna Picchu, you will first complete the guided tour of Machu Picchu and then begin the mountain hike. The hike takes approximately 2 to 3 hours round trip, depending on your pace. In total, your time inside the sanctuary will be around 5 hours before returning to Aguas Calientes.

Whether you add the mountain or not, all participants will return on the same scheduled train service, so the group stays coordinated for the journey back.

Can we spend one more night in Cusco and have that included as part of the tour?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes, we can include an extra night in Cusco. The itinerary would be organized with Day 1: Arrival in Lima + guided Lima City Tour, Day 2: Paracas, Ica & Huacachina excursion (Ballestas Islands, oasis, and sand dunes), Day 3: Arrival in Cusco – warm welcome and free time for acclimatization, Day 4: Chinchero, Moray & Maras Salt Mines + train journey to Aguas Calientes, Day 5: Guided visit to Machu Picchu + return to Cusco, Day 6: Excursion to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), Day 7: Free day in Cusco, ideal for rest or optional activities, Day 8: Hike to Humantay Lake, Day 9: Route of the Sun – scenic journey from Cusco to Puno, Day 10: Speed boat excursion on Lake Titicaca, Day 11: Transfer to Juliaca Airport – farewell and end of the tour. This itinerary offers a very complete and well-paced experience, combining culture, nature, iconic landmarks, and scenic journeys. If you wish, we can customize hotels, service type (private or shared), or add optional experiences according to your travelers' preferences.

      Kathryn

      TravelerWritten January 2026

What is the cost for the new itinerary? For the last day, will the transfer be back to Lima airport? Also if we wanted to stay in the sky lodge in Cusco on the free day can that be arranged?

    • K

      Kathryn

      TravelerWritten January 2026

How much will the stay in skylodge cost?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

If you wish to stay at the Sky Lodge, please note that this experience requires a minimum of two days in order to be carried out properly. This is because access to and departure from the Sky Lodge involve special activities such as via ferrata or zipline, which require additional time and specific logistical planning. For this reason, in order to include the Sky Lodge in your itinerary, it would be necessary to adjust the program and add at least one additional night.

    • K

      Kathryn

      TravelerWritten January 2026

The price is USD 2,615.00 per person.

      Kathryn

      TravelerWritten January 2026

The price of this tour is only around 2611 Canadian dollars on tour radar - so skylodge is $1000 for one extra night?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

The price I provided does not only include one night of accommodation. If you review the itinerary, you will see that two additional days have been added to your program. It also includes the activities scheduled for those days. However, if you prefer, I can review other options and offer you an alternative price based on different arrangements.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

We do not manage or offer international flights, as our travelers come from different countries and cities around the world. For this reason, it is not possible to offer a single international flight price that would fairly apply to everyone. What we do include and can fully manage are the local flights within Peru, specifically the Lima–Cusco and Juliaca–Lima routes. We can prepare two options for you: one including the local flights and another without them, so you can easily compare and choose the option that best suits your travel preferences.

    Kim

    Asked on January 12th, 2026

I am senior citizen and not in very good shape and like to know what is the level of physical activity in the tour? Specially in getting to Machu Pichu?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

Regarding Machu Picchu, there is no problem at all. The visit is very manageable for senior travelers. The guided tour inside the citadel lasts approximately 2 hours, during which you will be accompanied at all times by our professional guide. The walk consists of light and gradual paths, with regular stops for explanations and photos, and the pace can be adjusted to your comfort level.

However with respect to another activities, we would like to be honest and transparent with you: Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain are more physically demanding activities, as they involve longer walks and higher altitude. For travelers who are not used to hiking or are concerned about physical strain, we recommend removing these two activities from the itinerary.

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, we can also adjust the program by adding a rest day between activities, allowing you to enjoy the journey without feeling rushed.

    • K

      Kim

      TravelerWritten January 2026

What if we keep the same itinerary i.e. including Rainbow mountain and Humantay lake as my wife and son can do it easily. Can I stay back in hotel during the visit to these two places?

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

From what I understand, your wife and children would like to participate in all the scheduled activities, while you would prefer not to take part in the Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain excursions. If this is correct, there is absolutely no problem. We can register your request from now on and take it into account during the organization of the tour. Considering that you will not be joining these two activities, I will be happy to provide you with the adjusted tour price for you, excluding Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain.

Can and request for my last day flight from Puno Juliaca Airport to Lima to be changed to Puno to Lapaz or Uyuni, thank you

    Flights / Transfers
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2026

At the moment, it is not possible to modify that flight, as the program includes a domestic flight from Juliaca to Lima. The flight you would like to take, however, is a different and longer route, from Juliaca to La Paz (with a layover in Lima), which involves a different budget.
That said, we would be happy to offer you an alternative option: if you wish, we can remove the included domestic flight Juliaca to Lima and provide you with a new quotation, considering only the domestic flight from Lima to Cusco, while keeping the rest of the itinerary unchanged.
