Dear Michael Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your kind words about our team's organization and are delighted to know you enjoyed your overall experience with Waman Adventures. We are sincerely sorry to hear about the inconvenience regarding the transportation after the high-altitude excursions. We understand that, after a physically demanding day, returning directly to your hotel would have been much more comfortable, especially considering your hotel's location. Your comments have been shared with our operations team so we can review this procedure and improve the experience for future travelers. We also appreciate your observations about the physical demands of the itinerary. While these tours are designed for travelers with a moderate fitness level, we recognize that high-altitude conditions can affect each person differently, regardless of age or physical condition. Your perspective as a physician is especially valuable, and we will continue working to ensure that our tour descriptions clearly communicate the challenges involved so that our guests can make well-informed decisions and prepare accordingly. Thank you once again for your constructive feedback and for choosing Waman Adventures. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Peru and provide you with another memorable experience. Best regards Luz Waman Adventures Team

Hello dear Marissa Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you and your family had a great time exploring Peru and that you found the organization, communication, accommodations, and overall experience enjoyable. We truly appreciate your kind words regarding the hotels, the smooth coordination of the itinerary, and the unforgettable experiences you enjoyed throughout the trip. It is wonderful to know that Peru left such a positive impression on your family. We also sincerely appreciate your constructive feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the transportation delay on the day of your transfer to the bus station in Cusco. Although everything worked out in the end, we completely understand how stressful that situation must have felt, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Regarding the Uros and Taquile Islands excursion, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The traditional reed boat ride is an optional activity offered by the local community and is not operated directly by us. However, we understand your point, and we will work on communicating these optional costs more clearly to future travelers so they can be better prepared. We also appreciate your comments about Puno and the amount of time spent in Cusco. Every traveler has different interests, and feedback like yours helps us continue improving our itineraries and recommendations. Finally, thank you for highlighting that Peru is an amazing destination and for recommending the Cusco and Machu Picchu portions of the trip. It was a pleasure assisting your family, and we are grateful that we could be part of these special memories. We hope to welcome you back to Peru one day so you can spend even more time exploring Cusco and discovering other incredible regions of our beautiful country. Asked on June 21st, 2026

How come you quote price like ~$1700 but when I try to select a tour all the prices are above $2300? That does not build trust. Also, are all you quotes based on single occupancy? I'd be willing (1 person) to get double occupancy to lower the cost.

    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2026

The price difference is due to the accommodation arrangement. The quoted price is based on shared occupancy, while a single room carries a higher cost because it is reserved exclusively for one traveler. Of course, we would be delighted to offer you the shared-room rate if you are comfortable sharing accommodation. However, many travelers prefer the privacy and comfort of having their own room, which is why the single supplement applies.

How much is the cost for upgrading the hotels to a 4 stars? Can horses pre booked?

    Price / Availability

Regarding your question about Humantay Lake, yes, horses can be arranged in advance to assist with the ascent. We would be happy to include this service in your reservation if needed.

    Asked on June 16th, 2026

We are thinking about November 19 or 20th. However, we're concerned about four of the mornings have having such early starts. Is that the case in November?

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2026

Yes, the pick-up times are generally very similar to those shown below, as they depend mainly on travel distances, train schedules, and the operating hours of the attractions.

To help you evaluate whether these early starts would be comfortable for you, here are the approximate pick-up times:

      • Day 1 – Arrival in Lima (Reception at Gate Number 3) - Lima City Tour: 01:15 p.m. – 01:30 p.m.
      • Day 2 – Paracas, Ica & Huacachina: 03:50 a.m. – 04:30 a.m.
      • Day 3 – Flight to Cusco: No early pick-up required.
      • Day 4 – Sacred Valley Tour: 07:00 a.m. – 08:00 a.m.
      • Day 5 – Machu Picchu Tour: 06:00 a.m. – 06:30 a.m.
      • Day 6 – Rainbow Mountain: 03:30 a.m. – 04:00 a.m.
      • Day 7 – Humantay Lake: 04:20 a.m. – 04:40 a.m.
      • Day 8 – Route of the Sun (Cusco to Puno): 06:00 a.m. – 06:15 a.m.
      • Day 9 – Lake Titicaca Speed Boat Tour: 07:00 a.m. – 07:30 a.m.
      • Day 10 – Transfer to Juliaca Airport: Pick-up according to your flight schedule.

Please keep in mind that the early departures are mainly due to the distances required to reach some of the attractions included in the itinerary. Many of Peru's most impressive natural sites, such as Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake, are located several hours from Cusco, making early departures necessary to complete the tours comfortably and return at a reasonable time.

That being said, if you prefer a more relaxed itinerary and would rather avoid some of the earliest departures, we can certainly customize the program. We can replace certain activities with alternative tours that start later in the morning and are located closer to the city, creating a more comfortable travel pace while still allowing you to enjoy the beauty and culture of Peru.

Please let me know which activities concern you the most, and I will be happy to suggest alternative options that may better suit your preferences.

    Cindy

    Asked on June 16th, 2026

are the 2 circuits (circuit 2A & 2B) included in the tour package?

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2026

The availability of Circuit 2A or Circuit 2B depends entirely on your travel date, as Machu Picchu tickets are subject to availability and can sell out several months in advance.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2026

As these tickets are managed directly by the Machu Picchu authorities, no travel agency can guarantee this entrance once availability has been exhausted. We can, however, review the alternative circuits available for your travel date and offer you the best possible option so that you can still enjoy your visit to Machu Picchu.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

To confirm your booking, you only need to make a deposit. The remaining balance would be due on October 6th, 2026.

Please note that you can also choose a flexible payment plan in installments, which many of our travelers find convenient.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

60–30 days before departure: 40% of the total tour price
29–7 days before departure: 60% of the total tour price
Less than 7 days or no-show: 100% of the total tour price

Please note that Machu Picchu tickets and additional permits (Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, Inca Trail) are:

      Non-transferable
      Non-modifiable
      Non-refundable under any circumstances

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

If you plan to arrive a couple of days earlier, we highly recommend staying at the same hotel we use: Ibis Reducto Miraflores

This way, you won't need to change hotels during your first days, making your experience more comfortable.

Of course, if you prefer, we can arrange your pre-accommodation for you

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

Your airport pick-up is 100% guaranteed, even if you arrive a few days earlier.

If you choose to stay at a different hotel, no problem at all—we will still pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Just keep in mind that if you stay in a different hotel, you would need to move between hotels on your own.

    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2026

We offer wonderful Amazon extensions. We would be happy to arrange this for you. Here is a great option:

4-Day Amazon Experience – Puerto Maldonado

Day 1: Welcome – Puerto Maldonado – Caiman Lake
Day 2: Apu Victor Lake – Monkey Island
      Day 3: Lost Cocha Exploration
Day 4: Transfer to the airport

      Accommodation: Eco Amazonia Lodge (bungalows)

This is a fantastic way to complement your Peru adventure!

What can you tell me about the Peru Express – 10 Days tour (Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Puno)?

    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2026

The Peru Express – 10 Days (Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu & Puno) is a very complete tour that begins in the vibrant city of Lima, continues along the coast and into the Andes, and includes iconic destinations such as Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca. It's the perfect way to experience the diversity of Peru in one trip. For better availability—especially for Machu Picchu—we recommend departures from the second week of June onwards.

    Asked on April 14th, 2026

Are the tickets for the Machu Pichu available for this trip start? How much free time will we get on this trip and where? Is it a quite fast-paced trip? Is it challenging in terms of gettting aclimatised and hikes?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2026

Regarding your main question, I'm very sorry to inform you that for a start date around April 26–27, 2026, Machu Picchu tickets are currently sold out, so it would not be possible to include the visit on those dates.
It is important to mention that Machu Picchu availability is the same for all agencies, as tickets are managed directly by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture. This means that no formal travel agency can offer access once tickets are sold out.

      Free time during the trip:
You will have free time mainly in:
      Lima after your city tour
Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) in the afternoon/evening
Cusco, depending on your arrival time and after some tours

      Pace of the trip:
This is a moderately fast-paced itinerary, designed to cover several highlights in a limited number of days, but still allowing you to enjoy each destination.
      Acclimatization & difficulty:
The program includes time to help with acclimatization in Cusco, although altitude can affect each traveler differently
The Rainbow Mountain hike is the most physically demanding activity due to the altitude
All other tours are more relaxed and accessible
If needed, we can also suggest alternative activities or options such as renting a horse for the hike.

Yes, that is correct — the flight from Juliaca to Lima on Day 10 is included in the price of the tour, as part of the domestic flights.

  • B

    Becky

    Asked on April 10th, 2026

In how many payments can my clients be able to do this trip? Do you offer payments plan and how many? What are my options?

    Payments
    • Waman AdventuresOperatorWritten April 2026

Yes, we do offer a payment plan for this trip. However, the number of installments depends on the travel date. This means that the more time in advance the booking is made, the more payment options (installments) we can offer.
