Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll arrive in Cape Town and meet up with your tour group around 6pm. This is your chance to get acquainted with the other travelers and your tour leader before heading out for a welcome group dinner to kick things off.

- Day 2
Cape Town
Start the day with a driving tour that takes you past Cape Town's significant landmarks, including the Castle of Good Hope and St George's Cathedral. From there, you'll head to the cable car station and ride up Table Mountain, where you get wide views over the city and out toward Robben Island. After spending time at the top, make your way down and drive out to the Cape Peninsula. You'll visit the Cape of Good Hope, then take the funicular up to the lighthouse for the views. Before heading back to your hotel, stop at Boulders Beach where you can see the penguin colony up close.

Cape Town to Hermanus
Head out for a 2 hour and 20 minute drive along the coast toward Hermanus. You'll stop at Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and Stony Point to see African penguins in their natural setting. Once in Hermanus, you'll have free time to grab lunch and wander around the seaside town before the drive back to Cape Town.

- Day 4
Cape Town to Franschhoek
Drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to Franschhoek, which is known as South Africa's wine capital. You'll explore vineyards on the wine tram with a hop-on, hop-off setup, visiting some of the region's oldest wine estates. The day includes two wine tastings and information about how the area developed its wine cultivation methods.

- Day 5
Franschhoek to Cango Caves
Transfer for 5 hours to reach the Cango Caves, one of South Africa's major natural attractions. A local guide takes you through the extensive cavern complex that formed over 20 million years, pointing out stalactites and stalagmites. Later in the evening, everyone gathers for a traditional South African braai, which is a social barbecue where you'll enjoy meals and company together.

Meerkats - Meiringspoort Waterfall - Knysna
An early start at 6:15am when your transfer picks you up for Berluda Farm in the Klein Karoo. With a trained ranger, you'll watch meerkats go about their morning, foraging and playing in their natural habitat. After that, drive to Meiringspoort Waterfall where water drops into a pool below, and if you've brought swimwear, there's a chance to cool off in the water. Then it's a long drive of about 2 hours and 25 minutes heading to Knysna, where you'll settle in for the next two nights.

Knysna
Your morning is free to relax, with optional activities if you want them. At midday, you'll board the Featherbed ferry for a 30 minute scenic cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, then ride a 4x4 to viewpoints while learning about the area's history and local wildlife. After an optional guided walk through coastal forest and sea caves, lunch happens under milkwood trees. Then you'll check out Knysna Waterfront for shopping and dining before heading back.

Knysna to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
After breakfast, transfer 3 hours to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). On the way, you'll visit Bloukrans Bridge, which has the world's highest commercial bungy jump, and Tsitsikamma National Park where you can see Storms River Mouth weather permitting, marking the end of the Garden Route.

Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
Spend your last full day on an open Land Rover safari through Amakhala Game Reserve with an experienced game ranger. You'll search for wildebeest, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and antelopes in their natural habitat. Later you'll head back to refresh, then go out for a farewell dinner where everyone can share stories from the trip.

Landmarks Amakhala Game Reserve - Day 10
Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
This is your last day, so you'll need to pack up and get ready to head home. If you're interested, there's an optional morning safari at Schotia Game Reserve you can do if timing works out. You can also touch base with your sales rep about extending your trip if you'd rather stay longer and keep exploring.
