Itinerary
- Day 1
Keflavik to Reykjavik
You'll land at Keflavik and catch a shuttle into Reykjavik for hotel check-in. After that, the day is open for you to explore however you like. Head to Hallgrímskirkja Church if you want views from the top, or check out the Harpa Concert Hall down by the water. Laugavegur street has plenty of shops and cafes to browse through. The Sun Voyager sculpture is a good spot for photos overlooking the bay, and if you're interested in learning about Iceland's past, the National Museum covers the country's history pretty well.

Then you'll move to the Geysir area with its hot springs and the Strokkur geyser that shoots off every few minutes. Later you'll see Gullfoss Waterfall, which is one of Europe's most powerful and drops into an impressive gorge. The bus gets you back to Reykjavik by evening.

Where exactly you go depends on the weather that night, so the route changes day to day. Keep in mind the lights are natural and not guaranteed to show, but when conditions are right it's worth the effort.
