    Asked on February 6th, 2026

If we want to arrive in Buenos Aires 2 days earlier on Friday Mar 6th (so we can visit the city on our own), would we need to arrange the 2 extra nights at the Dazzler hotel through you, or do we need to book the extra 2 nights ourselves?

If we do arrive 2 days early on the 6th can the airport transfer that is included in the tour package price, be arranged for that arrival time 2 days earlier?

    • M

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten February 2026

When we fly to Ushuai, we would really like to take the End of the world train ride, so is that possible to include in the scheduled time, or would we need to (or is it better) to come a day earlier and spend an extra night in Ushuai, or would we need to forego one of the other activities scheduled for the Ushuai portion of our trip in order to do that? Also, Is the Train Tour something you could book for us or do we need to reserve that train ride ourselves?

    • M

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten February 2026

Aside from the End of the world Train tour, the other thing we really want to do is ensure we see the penguins around Martillo island. Will the boat tour that is included in your tour package ensure we see the penguins reasonably up close from the boat or are we better off taking an on land tour of the island using PiraTour tour company? If so, is that something we can fit in the tour schedule or substitute for some other activity? And, is that something we need to book ourselves or can you arrange that?

    • M

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten February 2026

On day 5, it appears we travel from Ushuai to El Calafate which is about 900km away. What is the method of travel? (Air or Bus) and how long will it take?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

We can always add extra nights in Buenos Aires if needed but also you can book it on your own if you prefer. Also you can take our city tour or visit BA on your own as well.

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes if you arrive earlier we can offer you same transfer for no addtional cost

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

On the Park Tour Day we can make a stop for you to take the train after the park hike ( it cost usd 90 per person extra)

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

We can offer you isla martillo for penguins adding another day in Ushuaia because as standar program we cant add it ( for penguin tour the only depart is by 2 ;00 om , so you need a day just for this activity)

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

You will fly in the morning to El Calafate directly , then in the afternoon is a free time in town to walk around on your own.

    Asked on October 20th, 2025

Do your tours really depart almost daily? I saw on TourRadar that travelers must be 25 years old. We have 20 year old nephew we will be traveling with. All others are adults. Is this OK? What is the price per person if we have 3 people in our party? What deposit is required and how far in advance? What is your cancellation policy? How many days in advance? Is the money refunded or is it in the form of a travel credit? Is there a minimum number of people required for the tour to go? What happens if you don't have the minimum number of travelers for a given start date? What is your policy if GUIDEcuador has to cancel or postpone the trip for any reason?

This tour is listed on specific dates shown as available so Jan 01 is ok to start from our end. In this case 20 years all good to join the trip no worries. Prices are per person so in this case is 3 sharing a triple room for usd 5950 per person. To confirm this booking we need 10% then you can pay in installments until December. This trip can operate with minimum of 2 participants.

Can you tell us how many people are currently signed up for this tour starting on 1 January? Could you please provide the names of the hotels where we would be staying?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

For January 1 we don't have any other guest interested. All hotels we use are in good locations and it is a combination of 3 & 4*. We confirm the hotels list once the booking is done by guest.

    • C

      Cristina

      TravelerWritten October 2025

What is the minimum number of people to sign up before you decide to cancel the trip? If you do decide to cancel for any reason, what is your policy? Would we get a full refund, or would it be a travel credit for a future trip? When will you definitely commit to the trip starting on January 1st?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

We dont cancel any of our listed tours, as we can operate with even 2 participants. From our end is all set and ready to go but as I told you we cant wait too long on this date (Jan1) due to high season, new prices and tight availabilty.

      Cristina

      TravelerWritten November 2025

Are there any organized tour activities on Day 11 in Santiago? What time would we arrive in Santiago on Day 10? If there are no tour activities on Day 11, we might consider returning home the evening of Day 10 rather than at the end of Day 11. Is that feasible?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Day 11 is a going home day no activities besides of transfer out at the time you need it. Day 10 we normally get to Santiago by 5 pm since that the natales to Santiago flight is always in the afternoon. Flights from natales are sometimes delay or cancel for this reason we leave day 11 as an option in case that something happens you can still be able to flight home on Day 11. Try going on Day 10 is too risky for us.

      TravelerWritten November 2025

The description of the coverage provided by xCover is vague and only discusses cancellations prior to the trip starting but doesn't say anything about what happens if somebody gets sick while on the tour. Do you have any more detailed information about what is covered and what isn't? Is it possible for me to complete the GUIDEcuador Travel confirmation and potentially add the xCover travel insurance at a later date?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Yes you can book ahead and then look for other alternative Travel insurance. As time is getting fast I strongly recommend you to act soon.

Would it be possible to add a short 4 day tour of Easter Island to the end of this tour?

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

Normally some hikes allow up to 70. When we have these cases we don't do the hike and we add another way to see the glaciers as a sightseeing tour.

    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

We can add Easter Island now. The trip to the island includes round trip ticket from Santiago and back.

    Tour Details
    • GUIDEcuador TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

Here are some options in Ushuaia for you to consider: * There is a tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park with a train on the End of the World route. This historic journey will take you along the final stretch once traversed by prisoners, while you enjoy the unique landscapes of southern Argentina. The excursion includes stops at iconic locations such as Lapataia Bay, Lake Roca, and Ensenada Zarategui. * Penguin Walk & Beagle Channel Sailing tour. We can offer a tour from Ushuaia, combining a scenic bus ride and a boat journey to Martillo Island, home to a vibrant penguin colony. Accompanied by a guide, you'll spend an hour walking among Magellanic and Gentoo penguins in their natural habitat. Afterward, enjoy a 2.5-hour sailing through the Beagle Channel, observing sea lions, various bird species, and the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. The tour concludes with a return to Ushuaia by bus, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

    • Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
    • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
