- Day 2
Krimml
This morning you'll tackle one of the Alps' most notable natural features on a circular walk that takes you past the three-tiered Krimml Waterfalls. You'll hike through alpine meadows heading toward Krimmler Tauernhaus, then a national park taxi brings you back down to the valley.

Krimml to Neukirchen
Start your day trekking through high alpine meadows on the Panorama Trail as you climb toward Gerlosplatte. You'll pass mountain farms and traditional bell towers along the way. The descent takes you via Falkenstein and the Sonnenweg, crosses the Trattenbach Gorge, and finishes at Rechtegg where you can see the Großvenediger glacier in the distance.

Neukirchen
A national park taxi takes you up to nearly 2,000 meters at the valley's end. From there, you'll follow an educational glacier trail into the park's core zone and hike down past waterfalls and alpine wildlife. Stop at Berndlalm for a traditional Pinzgauer Brettljause snack before heading back to Neukirchen.

Neukirchen to Hollersbach
Take the cable car up to Wildkogel at 2,000 meters and begin a long panoramic ridge hike along the Tyrolean border. You'll see the Wilder Kaiser and Kitzbueheler Horn from up there, visit a mountain hut during your walk, and then ride the gondola down to Hollersbach to finish the day.

Hollersbach to Kaprun
Follow a discovery trail through the national park that runs along a mountain stream with striking blue water and yellow rocks. You'll take a break at Senninger Alm to rest, then descend through meadows down to Kaprun. The Tauern Spa there has warm saltwater pools if you want to relax your legs after the hike.

- Day 7
Kaprun
Your final hiking day takes you to Kitzsteinhorn, a summer ski area with the Glacier Trail and Ice Arena 3000. You can ride the cable car to 3,000 meters or hike the Enzinger Trail over Drei-Wallner Peak if you want the views from the ridge, then the Glacier Jet brings you down to the valley to wrap up your week.
