- Day 1
Cancun to Playa del Carmen
You'll touch down in Cancun and get transferred to your hotel in Playa del Carmen. From there, the afternoon and evening are open for you to settle in, walk around town at your own pace, or mingle with other travelers on the tour.

Chichen Itza & Cenote Adventure
A local guide takes you through Chichen Itza to see the Temple of Kukulkan, the Platform of the Skulls, and the Plaza of a Thousand Columns. After exploring the ruins, you'll head to an underground cenote (a natural limestone sinkhole) for a cool swim in clear water to beat the heat.

Tulum
This morning you'll travel to Tulum and choose your own adventure: either check out the ancient Mayan ruins sitting on cliffs above the Caribbean Sea or spend time at Tulum Beach with white sand and clear water. Back in Playa del Carmen later, dinner includes fresh seafood, avocado, and tequila to wrap up the day.

- Day 4
Bacalar
After breakfast, you'll take a bus south through the Yucatan Peninsula heading toward Bacalar, known for its colorful lagoon with seven distinct shades. Once you arrive, there's a boat ride across the calm lagoon, time for a swim, and cold beers to refresh yourself.

Bacalar to Caye Caulker, Belize
The journey continues south into Belize after breakfast. You'll catch a short ferry to Caye Caulker and check into your hotel (just a minute walk from the beach). Drop your bags and head straight out to the white sand beach for free time. Later in the day you'll gather to watch the sunset from another part of the island.

- Day 6
Caye Caulker - Snorkelling the Barrier Reef
You'll board a boat heading to Hol Chan Marine Reserve to snorkel along the barrier reef. The route includes multiple stops where you can see colorful fish, coral, rays moving through the water, and possibly manatees. That evening brings Caribbean dinner with fresh fish prepared in curry sauce.

Caye Caulker
Caye Caulker is yours to explore however you like today. Relax on the beach, try paddle boarding, snorkel, or just hang in a hammock listening to reggae music. If you're up for something different, the 'Split' (a natural channel cut through the island by a hurricane) is a popular spot for swimming.

Caye Caulker to Flores, Guatemala
After breakfast you'll leave Caye Caulker and travel south through small towns with roadside stands showing local life. At a Mayan village you'll stop for lunch and join in a cooking lesson to learn about traditional Mayan food and heritage. Then you'll cross into Guatemala and reach Flores, an island town where you'll stay the night.

Tikal Ruins Exploration
You'll head into the jungles of Guatemala to explore Tikal, a major archaeological site from the ancient Maya period. A local guide shows you the Lost World Pyramid and the Temple of the Grand Jaguar while sharing the history and significance of these structures.

Flores to Coban
After breakfast you'll drive south through Guatemala's landscape and stop at Candelaria Caves, an 80km cave system. According to Mayan belief, this was considered the entrance to the underworld. You'll explore the caves before heading to Coban, a mountain town with colorful buildings and surrounding peaks.

Coban - Highland Adventure
A convoy of 4x4 vehicles takes you into the highlands early on, navigating mountain roads before you switch to hiking into the jungle. You'll come across a bright blue river flowing into pools bordered by green algae. The day ends with lunch at a traditional Mayan home where you can see how locals live.

Coban to Panajachel
This morning you'll head south through the highlands with a stop in Chichicastenango, a town with a large local market and strong Mayan traditions. Later you'll reach Panajachel on Lake Atitlan, where volcanoes surround the water and you'll check into your hotel for the night.

- Day 13
Lake Atitlan - San Juan La Laguna
You'll travel by boat across Lake Atitlan like locals do, with water views the whole way. Your first stop is San Marcos, known for its relaxed vibe and a nature reserve where you can swim. Then you'll head to San Juan La Laguna to stay with a Mayan family in their home, share a traditional meal, and practice some Spanish and Mayan phrases.

San Juan La Laguna to Antigua
You'll start before dawn hiking to the summit of Mayan Face Mountain in the moonlight. By sunrise you're at the top looking out over Lake Atitlan while local guides serve hot cocoa. After coming back down, you'll have breakfast with your host family, say goodbye, and head to Antigua.

Antigua
The day starts with a briefing about tomorrow's volcano hike, followed by a guided walk through Antigua's colonial center. You'll see Spanish colonial buildings and stop at cafes and restaurants. The afternoon is free to explore on your own and take photos of the colorful streets and architecture.

Landmarks Antigua - Day 16
Acatenango Volcano Hike
After breakfast you'll set out for a 7-hour trek up Acatenango volcano. The hike takes you through forests that get rockier and steeper as you climb higher. Your guide shares local knowledge along the way. By sunset you'll reach camp near the summit above the clouds, where you can see the active Fuego volcano with lava shooting from its crater against the night sky.

Acatenango to Antigua
You'll start hiking early to reach the summit for views of the surrounding landscape. Then begins the descent back down to Antigua. Once you're back, you'll have time to clean up and change clothes before spending the rest of the day walking through Antigua's streets to catch any sights you might have missed.

Antigua - Departure
After breakfast your tour wraps up. You'll have a final moment with your fellow travelers and tour guide before heading to the airport for your next flight. Your tour leader will help with any travel questions and support your onward plans.
