Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Alta Pusteria
You'll arrive at your hotel in Alta Pusteria at whatever time works for you. Free unguarded parking is available near the hotel, so once you drop off your things, you can walk around and get a feel for the area before things really get going with the cycling.
- Day 2
Bruneck/Brunico
Start riding from the highest point in Niederdorf/Toblach and follow the cycle path along the River Rienz through the valley villages heading toward Bruneck/Brunico. Stop to check out Bruneck Castle with the Messner Mountain Museum, or if that doesn't appeal to you, the Folklore Museum is in Dietenheim instead. If you're feeling up for more, you can take a detour into Tauferer Ahrntal valley to see Taufers Castle. Head back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Val Fiscalina - Innichen
Ride out to the furthest corner of Sesto and into Val Fiscalina, where the famous Dolomite peaks rise up around you as you cycle through. After leaving the valley, continue to Innichen and visit the collegiate church. Stop by the source of the Drau at Toblacher Feld to refresh yourself before riding back to your hotel.

Innichen - Lienz
Leave Niederdorf/Toblach and cycle through Innichen, then cross the Italian-Austrian border near Winnebach. From there the route rolls downhill gently toward Lienz, where the Isel and Drau rivers meet. Spend time walking through the old town and see Bruck Castle, then head back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Landmarks/POIs Bruck Castle - Day 5
Gemärk/Cimabanche - Three Peaks - Toblach
A shuttle takes you to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the morning. Climb to the highest point at Gemark/Cimabanche using a unique route through specially illuminated tunnels from an old railroad. From there it's a gentle descent to Lake Durrensee and then to the Three Peaks viewpoint with views of these famous Dolomite peaks. Follow the valley floor to Lake Toblach and return to your hotel. If you're looking for a bigger challenge, you can ride from Villabassa/Dobbiaco to Cortina and back instead (roughly 60 to 70 km).

Puster Valley
Cycle through a valley with traditional farms and quiet countryside. Stop in Monguelfo if you want to see the castle, or take a break in Villabassa to use the Kneipp facility before heading back to your hotel.
