Itinerary
- Day 1
Keflavik to Reykjavik
You'll arrive at Keflavik International Airport and head to your hotel in Reykjavik, which takes about 40 minutes. Depending on when you land, there's time to wander around the city center and check out some of the cultural and historical spots. The walkable downtown area has plenty to see if you're not too tired from travel.

- Day 2
Reykjavik to Ship
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll spend the morning exploring Reykjavik on your own. Grab lunch wherever you like in the city, then head to the port in the afternoon for your bus transfer. You'll board the ship later that day to begin your expedition.

- Day 3
Snaefellsnes Peninsula
You'll leave the ship and take a coach with guides to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, known as 'Iceland in a nutshell' for good reason. See Kirkjufell mountain and its waterfall, walk through coastal cliffs and lava fields past the Arnarstapi rock arch, and stop at tiny fishing villages. The Bjarnarhorn Shark Museum is next, where you'll try an Icelandic food tasting including hakarl (fermented shark).

Westfjords
This day takes you to the remote Westfjords, Iceland's wildest and least developed coastline. You'll do Zodiac cruises and guided landings through untouched wilderness with dramatic fjords and waterfalls. Stop at the remote island farm on Vigur, see thousands of seabirds and puffins at Latrabjarg (one of Europe's largest bird cliffs), check out the Heritage Museum at Hnjotur, and take a heli flight if weather cooperates.

Diamond Circle and Arctic Circle
You'll travel by coach along North Iceland's Diamond Circle route and see Europe's most powerful waterfalls, including Dettifoss and Godafoss. Walk through spectacular gorges and see rocky sea stacks and horseshoe canyons. Later you'll explore the geothermal areas around Myvatn and Dimmuborgir lava fields, cross the Arctic Circle, and visit Grimsey island to look for puffins.

East Iceland and Vatnajökull National Park
East Iceland's deep fjords and tall mountains are on the agenda today, along with visits to fishing villages. There's heli sightseeing if weather allows, plus coach trips to Vatnajokull National Park. You'll see Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon with its spectacular icebergs, walk on black sand Diamond Beach, and take a guided glacier hike in the Skaftafell area.

Westman Islands
You'll travel by ship and Zodiac to the Westman Islands, an archipelago full of birdlife and one of the world's largest puffin colonies. On Heimaey, the only inhabited island, you'll see puffins at Storhofdi and check out the beluga sanctuary and oceanarium. The islands have rich fishing grounds and plenty of whale activity in the surrounding waters.
