Nairobi
You'll arrive at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi and head to your hotel. This is a travel day, so plan to settle in and rest up before your safari kicks off tomorrow.

Nairobi
The day is yours to do as you like in Nairobi. You could grab coffee at a local café, wander through different neighborhoods, or simply relax at your hotel. It's a good chance to adjust to the time zone before heading out on safari.

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
You'll fly from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park and reach your safari lodge by midday. After lunch and checking in, you head out on afternoon game drives with Mount Kilimanjaro as your backdrop while scanning for elephants and other wildlife.

Landmarks Amboseli National Park - Days 4 - 5
Amboseli National Park
Spend two full days driving through Amboseli to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, and various antelope species. Early morning drives tend to be best for wildlife sightings, then you'll take breaks during the hot afternoon hours before heading out again later.

Amboseli to Samburu Game Reserve
You'll fly from Amboseli through Nairobi and into Samburu Game Reserve, arriving at your tented camp by lunch. After eating, you head out on afternoon game drives to see reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, and other animals unique to this northern landscape.

- Days 7 - 8
Samburu Game Reserve
Two full days in Samburu means multiple game viewing drives to track down the reserve's distinctive wildlife. The terrain here is drier and more rugged than Amboseli, so you'll see different species adapted to this environment.

Landmarks Samburu Game Reserve - Day 9
Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll fly from Samburu back toward Nairobi with packed lunches, then drive down to Lake Nakuru National Park. By afternoon you're doing game drives to look for the lake's famous pink flamingos and black rhinos before settling into your lodge.

Lake Nakuru National Park
A full day at Lake Nakuru means you'll head out on game drives around the alkaline lake, watching for rhinos grazing near the water and massive flocks of flamingos. The scenery here is quite different from the open plains you saw earlier.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
You drive from Lake Nakuru down to Lake Naivasha, and after lunch you head to nearby Hell's Gate National Park. There you can hike through dramatic gorges, trek around the landscape, cycle if you like, or swim in a geothermal pool surrounded by high cliffs.

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve
You fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and transfer to your tented camp, then after lunch head out on afternoon game drives. This is Kenya's most famous reserve and you'll start looking for lions, leopards, elephants, and huge herds of wildebeest.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Masai Mara to Mombasa
You'll fly from the Masai Mara down to the coastal city of Mombasa and transfer to your beach hotel. After spending days on safari, you're trading the African bush for the Indian Ocean and switching gears to relaxation mode.

Landmarks Mombasa - Days 17 - 19
Shanzu Beach, Mombasa
Three full days on Shanzu Beach near Mombasa gives you time to swim in the warm ocean, lounge in the tropical sun, read, or explore the beach. It's the perfect way to unwind after your intense safari portion and reflect on what you've seen.

Mombasa to Nairobi
You transfer to Mombasa Airport and fly back to Nairobi, where you'll connect to your international flight home. This is your travel day to head back to your departure city.
