The tour involved most of the cultural, historical and natural landscapes in the country. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Good choices of hotel both in terms of space, cleanliness and location. I generally had no issues while my stay and everything was well organised therefore highly recommended to anyone who wants to visit Mexico

Our recent Mexico tour of the colonial cities with Europamundo offered many memorable and culturally rich experiences. The itinerary was varied and engaging, and the hotels were, on the whole, of a very good standard. The guides—especially the Spanish-speaking academic—were very knowledgeable and passionate. However, several issues detracted significantly from the overall experience. Health and safety on the coach were concerning. There was no first aid kit onboard—despite two passengers needing one—no emergency hammers for the windows, and a toilet that was both poorly maintained and essentially off-limits, even to those with medical/prostate needs. This created unnecessary discomfort, with passengers expected to wait and pay for facilities at rest stops. An unsettling moment came when we were just metres away from a roadblock on the other side of the motorway involving local bandits. While the guides and driver remained calm, the lack of a clear safety protocol and the vague reassurance that the driver could “handle any situation” did not inspire confidence. Additionally, the tour was advertised as including a visit to the pyramids near Mexico City, which turned out to be incorrect. It took time, stress and persistence for Europamundo to acknowledge this and offer compensation. Communications with the company, particularly online, were sometimes defensive and inflexible rather than customer-focused. Although both the Spanish and English guides were excellent, English-speaking passengers missed out on much of the in-depth commentary offered by the academic professor—an unfortunate gap on a tour so centred around history and culture. Some itinerary choices—like a roadside bar with live music and an Italian designer outlet village—were very unpopular and felt like a poor use of time possibly linked to incentives for the tour company, delaying our arrival at hotels. Including more meals in the tour price would also improve value and convenience. In summary, while the tour had many strong points and fascinating destinations, especially for church lovers, issues around safety, communication, and content delivery need to be addressed for it to reach its full potential.
