  Our Jewels of Andalucía & Barcelona – 7-Day Tour exceeded every expectation and turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. This was our first escorted tour, and before booking we did extensive research. We found that reviews were often polarized, and it became clear that the overall experience largely depends on three things: the tour director, the local guides, and the hotel locations. We were fortunate to hit the jackpot on all three. Our tour director, Ofelia, was simply exceptional. From the moment we stepped aboard the coach, she transformed what could have been a simple sightseeing trip into an engaging journey through Spain's history, culture, architecture, and people. Her depth of knowledge was remarkable—not only about every city on our itinerary, but also about every region we traveled through. As we drove between destinations, she continually explained the historical significance of the places we were passing, connecting them to the broader story of Spain. She was organized, personable, and genuinely passionate about sharing her country with us. Quite honestly, we cannot imagine having a better tour director, and that sentiment was shared by virtually everyone on our coach. The local guides were equally outstanding. Each brought tremendous expertise, enthusiasm, and personality to their city. They provided fascinating insights that went far beyond what we could have learned on our own, answered every question with patience and grace, and made each destination come alive. We also appreciated the excellent balance between guided activities and free time. We never felt rushed, yet we always had ample opportunities to explore independently, enjoy local cuisine, shop, or simply wander through neighborhoods at our own pace. The hotels were another pleasant surprise. Every property was excellent, and their locations were thoughtfully chosen to maximize the experience. Rather than being isolated in heavily tourist-oriented areas, they placed us within easy walking distance of major attractions while also allowing us to experience authentic local neighborhoods. This not only enhanced our enjoyment of each city but also minimized transportation costs and made independent exploration incredibly convenient. Our only suggestion for improvement concerns the motor coach itself. While it was comfortable overall, a few maintenance and housekeeping issues stood out. Some seats had broken reclining mechanisms, a few seatbelt receivers were missing their plastic housings, creating sharp edges and potential snag hazards, and the coach windows were noticeably dirty on both the inside and outside. Since so much of Spain's breathtaking scenery is enjoyed from the coach, cleaner windows would significantly enhance the experience. We would recommend more proactive preventive maintenance and cleaning the windows before the tour begins and periodically throughout the journey. Overall, we were completely satisfied with every aspect of this tour. The outstanding leadership, exceptional local guides, carefully selected hotels, and well-designed itinerary combined to create an unforgettable experience. We would book this tour again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the beauty, history, and culture of Spain.Show more

  A quick tour of the Basque country. Learnt about the history and culture. Hotels and food were amazing. A friendly group of people. Paula our leader was lots of fun and very helpful. Very good bus driver-Manuel. Great stop-off places along the way. Everyone on the tour left in Vigo and I was with Paula and the driver by myself for León and I finished in Madrid. I was lucky to have a couple of English speaking fellow travellers who could translate for me as much of the talk and chatter was in Spanish so maybe if you are in the minority language you may miss many things. But certainly can recommend this company and Paula our leader.Show more
