You'll arrive in Lima and get settled at your hotel. Later in the evening, you'll meet your Travel Director and the other people in your group for dinner with drinks.

- Day 2
Lima
This morning you'll walk through Lima's colonial center with a Local Expert, checking out the Cathedral, Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace, and City Hall. After that, you'll tour Casa Aliaga mansion before heading to Museo Larco to see the world's largest Pre-Columbian art collection. Lunch happens in the museum's 18th-century garden, and then you'll get a guided tour through the galleries.

- Day 3
Lima to Cusco
You'll head to the airport and fly to Cusco, then start driving through the Sacred Valley with photo stops along the way. Lunch is at Altar Inca with views of the regional landscape. From there, you'll transfer to your hotel for the next two nights. The evening is free so you can rest and adjust to the altitude.

- Day 4
Sacred Valley
You'll visit the Maras salt pans where the Incas harvested salt centuries ago, then explore Moray with its terraced circular depressions that were used as an Incan laboratory to test crop altitudes. You'll meet a local Quechua weaver to learn about traditional textiles. Lunch is a Pachamanca (traditional Peruvian feast) at Laguna Piuray, then you'll visit Hacienda Huayoccari and its museum. Dinner happens back at your hotel.

Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
You'll transfer to the train station for your IncaRail journey through the Andes. Before boarding, you'll visit Ollantaytambo ruins and stop at a local house to meet a family. The scenic train ride takes you to Machu Picchu with panoramic views of the mountains and Urubamba River. A Local Expert will guide you through the UNESCO World Heritage Site and explain its archaeological significance. You'll end with dinner and drinks at your hotel.

Machu Picchu
This morning you can explore Machu Picchu at your own pace with your Travel Director available if you have questions. The afternoon is free so you can relax at your hotel or wander around the town of Aguas Calientes on your own. Dinner with your fellow travellers is in the evening.

Aguas Calientes to Cusco
After breakfast, you'll take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then transfer to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital that blends Spanish colonial architecture with modern culture. You'll join a walking tour with a Local Expert visiting the cathedral and Qorikancha temple, the most important temple in the Inca Empire. The evening is yours to explore the city.

You'll settle in at your beachfront resort with the evening free. You can relax by the pools or stroll through the fragrant gardens.

- Day 11
Paracas
You'll meet local fishermen and women to learn about daily life in this coastal town. The day ends with a sea-to-table meal at your luxury beachfront resort.

This morning you'll take a scenic cruise around the Ballestas Islands with a Local Expert to see marine life like blue-footed boobies, Humboldt penguins, Peruvian pelicans, fur seals, and sea lions. After that, you'll travel to Ica to tour Hacienda La Caravedo pisco distillery for a tasting and learn about Peru's national drink. You'll also visit one of Peru's finest small museums with mummies, skulls, fossils, ceramics, textiles, and Inca artifacts.

You'll begin your return to Lima with a stop at Hacienda San José in Chincha. You'll learn about this former slave plantation and Peru's complex history by touring the original building, the baroque chapel with frescoes, and exploring the catacombs and underground tunnels once used to transport slaves. Your tour ends with airport drop-off in Lima.
